Well, Rocket, at some point you're going to have to show me that release, because I only have an outside game at this point. The lanes have to be pretty darn dry for me to play anywhere close to the 3rd arrow.

Looking for you to lead the way for the team this fall!

Wklstoy,The first thing to try at practice is move inside pick a target at the arrows then at the gutter at about 36 feet and try to throw in the gutter at that spot with your normal realease, I guarantee you will not get it in the gutter. Then from there figure out a line that will get to the pocket. The key and this is the hard part trust that it wont go in the gutter if you don't you will grab at the bottom and pull your shot in. That is why the coach had me have my hand open on my follow through. He said a lot of people have their hand closed (fist) in the follow through but if that starts to early it will cause a grab by having the hand open less likely of a grab. He also said that by having your hand in a C shape at follow through will give you another look. But I want to work on the open hand for awhile before I try any variations.

That's pretty interesting...

I've been working with my 2Furious... which generally frustrates me to death... doing almost exactly the same thing, working across the lane. For me (and that particular ball) speed is critical to get it to break and then carry the pins, and I don't yet have that much consistency. ...but it's nice to see I'm sort of on the right track!

The frame-by-frame

Looks like I'm the one leading us off, and I'm going to need help. If I make my spares at all, it's a better night, but I hope that 199 second game can help us.

Bowled OK. 224-181-255, 660. Slow to adjust to the transition in the second game but finally made the adjustment before the third. Started with 7 in a row and buried the shot in the eighth, but left a solid 7. Last two frames were pretty bad, but at least I marked.

Keep it going guys!

At least your scores got better every game. That's always a good thing.

I'll try to give the scratch totals once I have everyone. smile

Totals: 755-838-852=2445

Given where the starting team averages were, any game over 800 (and series over 2,400) should at least give us a chance, so I'm only worried about the first game. It should be noted that we hit the 850s third game even w/ my 157. laugh
