Well, to sum it up, i shot a personal best 15 consecutive strikes stretching across the first two games. Last 5 of the first game scoring a 235 and the front ten for a 289. The last game? well, all good things come to an end 161...

I have to admit that i was nervous. I tried not to be but i was. Pulled the 11th throw and left a 6 pin. I was throwing the Heat and it was like automatic (if i kept the speed up). The 3rd game was too dry even for the Heat. I'm thinking i should've gone to the Blue Hammer but (honestly) i didn't even think of that.

I'm now thinking of seeing if there is a weak Asymmetrical ball out there to compliment the Heat.

Anyway, the numbers are 235-289-161=685.

Nice! 15 is an impressive string to say the least! The toughest thing to do is to convince yourself that you need to change balls after shooting a big number like that. Good first week!

Thanks guys. I'm doing something i've never done before and that is get the ball to roll-up at the last couple feet. In the past, it was all about hook and continuation. This is better, because hook and continuation is ball speed dependant where hook and roll is more forgiving. What amazed me the most was the carry, it carried strong. My ball was exiting the deck on top of the 9-pin everytime. I'm the type of bowler who will sacrifice scores to get a better look at something that intrigues me and this reaction intrigues me. Of course, i'm not suicidal. smile

The thing is though, the backends were really snappy. Everyone was going over/under all night playing the hook. I think there is a time for that and a time to "tame it down" with the weak stuff. I'm going weak and when everyone else starts scoring then jump to that type of reaction. They say versatility is the name of the game, there are many ways to be versitile i think...

As for the team name. i'm good with any of them. Just pick one smile

Track has the 503C. This could be the ball..

Nice Rack, Good Wood sounds like it will be our team name. Hopefully TimL is good with it. I was thinking, wonder what Richie would think if we changed our team name every week? smile

Made the edits and replying...you guys are lucky the league secretary application accepts punctuation in team names; I don't think the Frameworx scoring system here allows punctuation (maybe a dash, but that's it...no commas or such).
