Description: Starting at the center, the heart of the bowling ball, the technical team incorporated one of our strongest designs to date, an asymmetrical shape known as the M.A.D.™ core. Maximum Accelerating Disc technology optimizes the shapes of the RG planes to allow you to perfectly dial in your desired reaction.

Moving to the shell, the new ERG™ coverstock utilizes similar technology from our NRG™ coverstock but without the Nano additive. Evolution Reactive Genesis, ERG for short, is closer to a pure reactive which creates a later break point, putting more emphasis on the backend. Look for more entry angle, up more than 10%, and increased hitting power from the new Lucid™. After all, who doesn’t like to see their ball corner like a Ferrari®?!

Prepped with a 4000-grit smooth matte finish, the Lucid can be easily adjusted to fit anyone’s game. Polish it up to get it through the choppiest heads or scuff it with a surface pad to better read the midlane… the choice is yours! The new Lucid by Storm – it clearly sets itself apart from the competition!

Actually may be. The Vivid is very dull OTB, the Lucid is a pearl that at face value has a more polished finish in appearance but still the same grit and matte finish as the Vivid.

The Vivid is also known to lose energy in the not so ideal conditions. I wonder if the Lucid is going to be the little sister?....Hummmm I am going to have to investigate this, if not for the ball but for the name! What is next, The Incoherent or The Flashback....hey I kinda like that!

There's a Storm open house here on 9/22- I'm going to have to throw one of these, as well as the IQs and whatever else they bring along.

Yeah the Vivid tends to soften up on the last 2 games with me

This does not have the "Nano" Technology within it though so that is going to be the big difference between this ball and the Vivid.

The Vivid is built to read heavy oil and read it early, this ball is still built to be aggressive but taking the NRG Cover off of the Lucid should allow it to get down the lane and come off the spot a little harder.

@sk8 you mean the NRG coverstock of the Vivid is not strong enough?

No I mean that the N in the NRG means Nanotechnology, which the Vivid has. The Lucid does not have an NRG Coverstock, it has the ERG Coverstock.

So, being that the Lucid does not have the Nanotechnology it will not be as aggressive as early as the Vivid is. It is still an aggressive pearl so it will be strong, but not as early rolling as the Vivid is because of the lack of Nanotechnology in the cover.

I saw this video lofting the Lucid over the gutter cap, going coast-to-coast, and back. Had to post it. Tester Sean Patterson has some hand. Wow!

Saw this ball in action Thursday night- the local Storm rep was throwing it. He can throw anything and make it work, but it looked like it was doing what it was supposed to do. It was clean up front, and made a controlled but aggressive move on the back. He said it read the pattern (THS) later than the IQ Tour, which he threw a couple of times, but went back to the Lucid.

OK so I went to a Storm Demo Day yesterday and all I can say is that Lucid is KILLER!!!!!!! I could not miss with that ball. We were at a house that does not have a lot of back end to it but that Lucid came back so strong and just rolled over the pins. I was able to play just about any angle i wanted to. Moved right and played up first arrow and it walked in no hard snap just a nice motion. Or i moved left laid down at 15 with break point at 8 and it would just snap back and run them over again. I want this ball but to bad I cannot get it. After getting the Modern Marvel in Feb the Critical theory in May and the Fireroad in July I am not allowed to get another ball for a while :-( . But i think this will be on my list for next spring.
