Unbelievable.

First of all, it's not even posted on the USBC's website, Google News knows nothing about it, and it was possibly the lowest scoring championship match in history.

No wonder USBC memberships are evaporating like paint thinner on hot metal.

Not USBC's smartest idea.

Do you think it was fair competition or mostly based on luck?

Frankly, I loved it! I've bowled on dry lanes and fried lanes, and knew exactly what they were going through. As a bowler, for me, it was fun. I kept hoping they would figure out that moving in wouldn't help if they didn't belly out, but they stubbornly tried to stay in the oil, even though the oil had been overruled by the dust.

But I knew Kelly would have it figured out by the time her match came.

And the shot showing all the tracks was priceless!

btw - anyone who hasn't curved to just barely miss the 7 or 10 pin just hasn't lived.

The wind and dust sucked, but I liked the idea if they could have somehow controlled the environment. The stage did have a bigger feel to it, and at night it looked great with the big "RENO" behind them.

I wonder if they just oiled between games if it would have worked out fine.

Thought the quality of the bowlers on the show was great, just about my five favorite ladies along with Diandra Asbaty.

Too bad Shannon Pluhowsky didn't make the telecast. Would have loved to see how a left handed bowler would have done on those conditions.

They were going to. But one match had already been completed. But they held a conference with the competaters and asked them if they'd like to have the lanes oiled between matches. If it was 100% agreement then they'd do it. It was not 100%.

That's interesting, good information. If the person that didn't agree wasn't Kelly then I wonder if she regrets her decision.

The info coming from the ball reps is also interesting, the Brunswick rep working with Shannon O'Keefe, was saying that he was drilling a ball while she was bowling against Missy and if she had won they were going to go with a special drilled DV8 Misfit instead of plastic.

Just around to watching it tonight. I do think it was a fair competition, but even so, the show was an absolute train wreck. VERY difficult to watch. What did Chris Barnes call the condition? Bowling on a parking lot?
