Moved down to the San Francisco Bay area for work last weekend, so I open bowled at a new center for Virtual League this week. Went from AMF to Brunswick lanes, and I ended up playing a lot further from the outside than I am used to.

Took awhile to get used to things, but I did OK, 196-191-225, 612. Bowled another game after in practice for a 235, so I'm getting the feel for it. Haven't heard from anyone for awhile. Kinda wondering how you all are doing.

mediocre night.

190 175 159 but we bowled the bye team and took all seven points. My scores aren't showing it but I think I'm improving. There is less variation between my shots and I'm finding the pocket a lot more often but I'm not striking enough. I leave a lot of ringing 7 pins, 10 pins, 4-7, 6 pins and 6-10s.

the word of the day is frustration.

first game started with three strikes then missed three single pin spares in the next 4 frames and finished with a 176.

Missed two more single pin spares in the second game and finished with a 182.

Changed balls for the 3rd game because my pocket hits weren't striking but it didn't help. Finished with a 161.

Time after time I crush the pocket and put them all in the pit except one. 4, pin, 7 pin, 6 pin, 10 pin. The one I leave varies but there's always one left standing.

Had to open bowl again - at a different house. Very frustrating day. Thought I was gonna tear it up when I shot a 268 practice game to warm up. Then I fell apart. 173-220-148, 541.

Shot another practice game to try to work things out. 255. Go figure.

last week I had a pretty good night. 224-242-290=756. I had 11 in a row in the last game. I used a stronger ball to help eliminate the 10 pin altogether. I left only 2 ten pins, both ringing tens. I played deeper and I was very comfortable playing deeper. I had two opens on splits. 27 strikes. Not bad.

I'd say 756 is a little more than "pretty good". Way to go!

Tom, I counted what you have here, but I had yet to see them in email. I've been on the boards in the time you posted here, but not the email account, so I probably logged out of the email account before you submitted.

Another decent night. 214-245-226=685. Two 10 pins and I whiffed the first one I had which came in the very first frame. 25 strikes, one split. I'm feeling very comfortable right now. Too bad its all coming to an end soon.

Was the epitome of sub-par consistency today. 199-193-193, 585. I just couldn't string strikes together. I struck over half the time - just not consecutively. And I always had one or two splits to wreck each game.

Just been bad since Christmas.
