Kid was good - 19 yr old, two-hander. Bowled with him before, great kid and repeats like a friggin robot. laugh

How do they legitimize it? I figure THAT is definitely going to be checked - and I'm wondering how much of a walled shot they're going to allow. It was REALLY walled in tonight - another 299 and a ton of high deuces.

Not me - I screwed myself up early and never recovered.

but boy, it was a night to up peoples' averages.

Wow, that's two in a month. No matter how walled the shot, its still an impressive feat to carry 36 in a row.

As long as there are at least 3 units of oil on every board the condition won't be a factor in certifying the triple tre, no matter how wall up it is. Anyways like champs says it takes a whole lot of skill and luck to carry 36 in a row. It also takes nerves of steel to be able to do keep throwing the ball good after the first 300 and then a second.

According to the USBC's Twitter feed, the kid's name is Jimmy Schmitzer and it was bowled at Brunswick Classic Lanes (center found on Google) in Norco, CA. A post on BowlingBallExchange said the 900 was thrown w/ a Nano.

Oh definitely, he was rocking the shot and he's a nice kid! I've bowled next to him several times during practice and/or just [censored] around. Definitely an accomplishment.

mmalsed, I'm wondering why there wasn't more (if any) coverage of this in your local media. The one in NY previous to this one got a feature story with cellphone video of the final strikes.

That's just amazing to me. I've had conditions that I thought were conducive to shooting 900 on, but to actually carry all 36 just blows me away. Easy condition or not, it takes nerves of steel to throw the last few balls.
