Was wondering how many of you saw the strikefest the other night on Xtra Frame when Norm Duke beat Parker Bohn III 836-766 in the three-game final match? Norm has to be one of the Player of the Year contenders now, and I think he gets it if he wins the ToC next week. smile

I saw it. It was a lot of strikes. Norm also had a 792 and a 789 in the day.

I was wondering what sort of impact the types of events he's won has on his potential player of the year status. One event he won was called a "glorified regional" by a lot of people before the event started, and his second title of the season was a doubles tournament.

Regardless, he's had a great season so far, and look out for Duke at the TOC.

Champ, the Cheetah Open I think had most of the elite players there and was the one they were calling a "glorified regional", but he didn't win that (McCune did). The other win was the Detroit Open, but I didn't see anyone call that a "glorified regional".

I heard people on other forums refering to the Detroit Open (particularly folks from Michigan.)

At any rate, its a shame two of his wins weren't on TV.

Agree, especially frustrating when watching a pre-taped WSOB event at the same time the live event is going on.

I know PBA is doing what it can to be profitable, but it still sucks.
