If you missed it on Xtra Frame, it was a history making day at Thunderbowl as Norm Duke won the Detroit Open to not only move into sole possession of 4th place on the all-time titles list (35), but also become the 3rd player to surpass $3M in career earnings (WRW and PDW are the others). Duke bowled amazingly well in the stepladder, as he threw a 288 at Tom Smallwood, then a 266 at Mika Koivuniemi to take the title.

Congrats to Norm on making more history! laugh

Awesome bowling by Norm. Too bad the PBA couldn't get it on TV.

I just purchased the "Next Level Bowling" Dvd and would have loved to watch Norm Duke on TV...ugh that's too bad I couldn't watch it.

I'm now a big Duke & Chris Barnes fan.

Check out "Learn to Bowl Competitively" if you haven't already. A lot of really good stuff there too.

DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUKE!!!!!

I'm glad I picked Norm Duke (little guy with a BIG game and he proved it this week) as well as Danny Wiseman (for his practice regimen and dedication to this great sport) and Brian Voss (my bowling idol from the get-go way back in 1988) as my all-time favorite bowlers on Tour, you'll soon see that on the all-new BIGHMW.com when my website makes its triumphant return to the net (right now it is in delibrate limbo as my old webmaster passed away 2 years ago and we will be relaunching it under my ownership in just a couple of months).

But as far as the Tour and its future on TV, I hate to say this, but the PBA might have the web and its Xtra Frame service as its only option, if they want to show the telecasts LIVE as opposed to the taped shows that are on ESPN and don't draw beans for ratings due to ESPN deliberately putting it against NBA, Nascar and NFL telecasts, in which they refuse to do anything about. I guess the ownership of the PBA doesn't care if it goes out of business like the PWBA did almost 10 years ago, or whether it has legitimate sponsors that will stick around for more than 6 months, the PBA has lost more sponsors than Rush Limbaugh over the past 5 years, and it is beginning to turn me off from watching because it doesn't have the same excitement in taped form as it did when all the shows were LIVE as they happened, you can sense it.

Yeah that's what I have, sorry about the confusion, the DVD is incredible. So much valuable information and I'm just working on a few things at a time to tweak my game.
