We just put down the new pattern on Monday (had been bowling the 2011 previous to this) and the main difference I have noticed is the new pattern transitioned sooner than the previous year. Also, it doesn't seem as there is as much hold in the track area as in the prior few years. Will follow up as I get more of a feel for the pattern.

champ, it might be a good bet it's the East Valley Open League at Brunswick Mesa Lanes. Brett Wolfe just recently set a new Sport Bowling series record in that league w/ an 886 on last year's national pattern.

ill probably be bowling on the pattern this weekend with my defiant , will see how that goes, maybe it will give me the miss room i need about 1-2 boards, ive actually been practicing on it with some of the older guys that are going to nationals and theyve been helping me, i actually found an outside line its so speed sensitive though its almost not worth it, like that article said, you would have to have everyone on your pair breaking down that line to allow for more speed, i know personally i have problems with lower speeds so i think that more surface should help

East Valley Open is correct. The Brett series was crazy to watch.

Good guess Richie. Pretty awesome that in AZ he holds the highest two series bowled with 886 (one sport and one not)
