Going back to the topic here for a second, I am surprised there aren't more mini-tournaments set up for UBA & ABT.

The next event that UBA lists is September 2011 (I assume they will run the same in September 2012).

As for the ABT, I could only find this, which seems to be more west coast based:

I would think that smaller payout tournaments localized to certain cities, say maybe a $20 buy-in for a 3 game slate, would cater to some of those regular league members. Maybe it would tempt some of those house bowlers to try a tournament on, and gauge more interest in the sport.

well honestly hunter, i think that todays youth as we become adults will be the generation to change the adults not wanting to bowl tournaments, i mean with most of us you could compare us to drug addicts, we need to bowl tournaments constantly everywhere any pattern, every once in a while we try to quit but we just keep coming back and i dont think that will stop with my generation
