Check out some of the new changes for Nationals starting next year. Not so sure about a couple of the items.

I think fresh oil for every squad is long overdue I can't tell you how many times we see huge scores on lanes that have been "Grooved In" by the squad before, and friends of tournament officials scheduling traveling teams on the squad before so they can open the shot up for their friends on the next squad. My guess is you will not see anywhere near as many 800 sets except for singles, since they don't move pairs after doubles, they can groove the shot in pretty well before singles.

I think given that you pay $150 to bowl, you should get a fresh shot; good or bad.
