One Pin, you seem to be surrounded by people who put up huge scores pretty regularly. Pretty awesome.

I had a good day at a local tournament.

Doubles Event:
248-252-193 = 692

Singles Event:
225-290-187 = 702

The 290 game was 8/ and off the sheet for the "eleven in row" honor. I waived the plaque award since I just got one for last seasons 299. It's a shame I had the weak last game, but by then the lanes were so dry even my Cherry Vibe which I used for the whole set started rolling out. The 193 game in the doubles event was just one of those games where pin carry just wasn't there.

Hopefully I'll cash in something, but since I went in with a 215 average it's tough.

Thanks Joe and Champ. Tournaments have always been a struggle for me and I'm happy I was able to put some decent scores together this time.

I've discovered that the CV is a beast on a medium shot at 500/4000 - no polish. My favorite balls right now are the MoRich Aggressive Motion (when there's enough oil) and the CV. Most of my other equipment has been sitting in the closet.

Nice VFF...this is one that actually happened in the summer, but my buddy Sean Richard had a 300 game in a NEBA tournament at AMF Silver Lanes in E. Hartford, CT. He didn't qualify for match play, but did pick up the non-qualifier high game prize. laugh

Last season, as a 150 average, I bowled a 257 game and won my match point against a guy who bowled a 300 game. A couple weeks later, in the roll offs, I beat him for match totals when I shot 666 to his 810. He made me buy him a beer both nights.

Thanks Richie.

That's always a kick in the pants when someone puts up big scores and loses especially a 300 game. There's been nights in league where I had a nice 7 series but our team lost badly.

Hi all. I'm brand new to the forums. Had to pre-bowl yesterday so I could make it to my son's opening varsity basketball game last night. Bowled my first 700 series ever. 230, 288, 214 for a 732.

Best previous score was a 279 which was a 9-0 followed by a string of 11. I only put 10 in a row on the 288, but boy was it different having the 300 still on the line in the 10th frame. Maybe next time I won't be quite so nervous. =)

Yeah, Jonahan, it does take 10 in a row to get any score in the 280s. In my case, I left a wide 2-7 on the 11th shot.
