We have 3 weeks of rolloffs on Monday league. We had 3 divisions, with a winner in each division first and second half. Then a wildcard team was added for each half making 8 total teams in the rolloff.

It's a head to head format with 1-8, 2-7, etc. So far, we won the match in week 1 and 2, winning 19 of 30 points each week. Now, there are only 2 teams left, and we are 1.

Gotta give my team credit, as I haven't bowled due to injury, and we couldn't have a sub during the rolloff. So, my score is the absent score, and my team has covered it each week.

Great job, guys.

Richie, not for the winter 2012 league. I use my Thurs nite scores and will be submitting later this week.

Tonight's bowling, frame-by-frame (Linked to BowlSK sheet)

According to my BowlingTracker.com stat sheet, I ended up with a 162+ average on this pair (39-40), and the mediocrity on this pair continued tonight, as I could never really get it together.

Result: 160-169-159=488
Average (102 games): 174
Average for last 9 games: 173
Next week's AVG+1 score: 610

Berta and Brian were solid tonight; unfortunately, two of the opponents bowled well over their respective averages and took all 4 from us. Even with a sweep by either us or them, "The 5 G's" could clinch the second half with three points, and they won all four tonight, so they'll be in the roll-off with "The Incredibowls" in two weeks. Meanwhile, "Dee's Boys II" moved a point ahead of us for third, and we bowl that team next week.

Two weeks left and me and my team are heading toward a .500 season. Has kind of been that way all year. Never could really get any consistency going week to week. For a period there we were having a streak where we would win 4 one week and lose 4 the next. Hopefully we can get it going over the summer. All of us except for one have been 5 to 10 pins off our normal averages.

Scott, it's been that way for me on Wed night. I've said that we are too good to be that bad. We have great team chemistry, even with our 6th man sub. But, we just couldn't win.

We went 1 for Jan. That's 1 game won for Jan. Then we went 1 for Feb, and it was the very last game bowled. But, that turned things around, and we only lost 3 games for the rest of the year.

We moved from last to finish 10 out of 20. If we had another 2 months, we could have over taken the top spot.

We ended up taking 2nd place on my Weds league. I came out swinging with a 256, then the lanes dried up quick and I was stubborn to move and paid for it with 3 straight splits to end the game with a 162. Then I moved 10 board left and swung the lanes for a 239. We actually clinched on the first game but I won $60 with that 239 and it kept my average @ 220.187 for the season which is my personal best for a Winter ever, especially at my local lanes that is pretty good. Great season over all, bring on Summer!

Went slightly over average tonight with every game at or over average. This is the full story. My series was 185, 193 and 219 for a 596. I had six opens, two were splits and another was a wash out. Unfortunately the other three were single pins, two (3 and 10)of which should have been picked up in the same manner and missed in two different manners. The third was a 10 pin. I only had a few shots that I truly didn't like. Some of the shots that didn't hit pocket were just slightly off at the target but not those terribly pulled shots, well maybe one or two. I felt like I threw the ball pretty good, just made some bad or late adjustments. As a team we only got 2 of 7 points.

158 243 233 for a 634 series

I got on a roll after I figured out that I wasn't keeping my arm straight. When I bend my arm before I release the ball I lose my accuracy and the ball doesn't come off my hand right.

My average is now 169 and I have two weeks get it to 170. A couple more 600 series should do it.

Tonight's bowling, frame-by-frame (Linked to BowlSK sheet)

I threw my "new" Nano for the first time in anger tonight, but some of my shotmaking and my spare game didn't match the caliber of the ball. That said, I did like the look it gave me in the first two games. For the third, I decided to shell down to my Reign of Fire (something I didn't think would happen at one time), and that allowed me to keep my look.

Result: 165-167-185=517
Final average (105 games): 174
Average for last 9 games: 173

We needed to take at least three points from tonight's opponents to move ahead of them into third place for the half, and we did just that, winning the first and third games handily. We almost had the second game won, as well, however, we couldn't get marks at the end, while three of our opponents nearly struck out in the tenth, with two of them working on doubles and the third also working on a strike.

It should be said we had our high handicap series of the season on the last night, a 3,136. I believe, however, we're going to fall short of a team prize, as "Bowling Stones," by my estimation at the beginning of the night, was in line for the team high handicap series prize with a 3,141. We were also out of the running for the team high handicap game.
