It was funny to watch, in the first clip i heard the bottle after the release. So how that affects your throw i don't know. Maybe Sean was already annoyed.

And in the second clip, well there where enough lanes between them. And thinking about it, who has not slapped a seat when things where not perfect.

Eventhough i think it works both ways. Belmonte knows what he is doing. So he maybe isnt the best sport. But for Sean to react that way is totally wrong.

And seeing Norm laugh that way was the best part of the first clip smile

Check out the story on PBA.com. I guess before the clip Rash stepped off the approach complaining of Belmo making noise with the bottle. That is why Rash was so pumped about the ordeal. It wasn't the crack after his release.

In the second video Rash is standing behind the ball return and moving around while Belmo is taking his shot, which is why Belmo kicked at the return on his way back in Rash's direction.

Next you see Belmo do the same to Rash, and Rash backs off while Belmo shoots his spare, then Rash strikes and yells. They definitely don't like each other.

You are totaling up the lanes and that's not how it works. Lane courtesy is per a side. Most of us observe one lane, which is one lane to the left of us and one lane to the right. For the pros it's one pair courtesy, one to the left and one to the right. Now depending on which lanes said bowlers are on it could be two, three or even four lanes. Say you are bowling on 5-6 and are up to bowl on 6. That means nobody is bowling on 7-8, but a bowler on 9-10 is up on 9 that's only two lanes. Now on 3-4 the bowler is up on 3 that becomes four lanes, but if that bowler is on 4 or the bowler to the right is on 10 it's three lanes. Now I get the feeling they get into a rhythm pretty quickly where most bowlers are up on the same side of their respective sets, so it's mostly three lanes.

What is the possibility that some of this might be staged to draw in an audience similar to something like wrestling....

Well if they start throwing down on the approach I'd agree with you lol. I just find it quite funny personally. They allow water in the pit area, so get over it. That's my take...

If only there were beverage manufacturers out there that would supply the PBA with as many noise free bottles as they need, or even pay the PBA to do so ... oh wait. All things consider that might be the best spot to put your brand on right now.

I hope it isn't staged but looking at how Richie Allen was acting on the last TV telecast it looked like the PBA might be trying to start some sort of "good guy" "bad guy" thing.

Now that would be entertaining... What I meant is a more subtle form of staging drama/tension/rivalry between players to make events more interesting for some viewers who would not normally watch just for the pure bowling aspect. How many people would watch football if it was "touch" or hockey if there were no fights? I'm not saying this is the case, but I can't help wondering....

That's an interesting thought, like the one I had about Barnes throwing the match against Richie Allen earlier this year. You will know what's up when PDW gives a chair shot to Rob Stone for yelling out "Hambone" one too many times when he's bowling.
