Twice now I have seen these on TV and...maybe I'm a sucker for a gimmick, I think they really look cool. Just saw one the other day on an NBA player celebrity bowlojg event. One of the pros was using a clear ball with a red and blue weight block for his spare ball.

Anyone know where/who sells these? My Google attempts are coming up empty...

Sounds like your talking about the Storm clear ball: http://stormbowling.com/products/balls/teamstormwhite

Sold at most pro-shops or online shops that carry Storm Products.

Just so you know the core is nothing more then a cosmetic core, it's not an actual weight block that effects dynamics.

A lot of companies make them. My dad has a clear ball with a Budweiser bottle in it, made my Ebonite I think. Hammer made a clear ball with a Hammer in it. I've seen them with skulls, footballs, dice and bowling pins, but I don't know who makes those. Then there is the envy of all bowlers...Ernie McCracken's clear ball with the rose.

I have seen tha varieties of "novelty" balls with various things inserted into a clear ball; beer bottles, dice, etc. But there is...somewhere out there a clear plastic ball with a true and visible weight block in it...

No longer manufactured, but it is clear with a dynamic core.

i picked a couple of the blue crystals in the last two weeks. got it for a spare but tried it on the wood lanes as a strike ball and it hit a ton. didn't move much but it hit good.
