This is me bowling after a near decade break. I also had a hernia surgery a month before so theres some apparent rust to say the least lol. I know the video is limited being as theres no foot work in the video ( I have a 5 step approach) . But I figured I'd have y'all look at it and see what you can find from it. Thanks in advance and I'll get a better video up asap with more angles and what not.

It looks like you could work on your release a little by staying behind the ball more. Also work on your pushaway a little bit because it looks like it goes out to the left some and then the swing comes behind your back. I'll bet that you have to muscle the ball back into the swing plane and around your body. That could explain why you're off balance at the line and a little inconsistent.

I see what you mean about the arm swing. I don't really feel it but can tell at release when I inadvertently pitch one wide of target and ill be more on top of the ball when this happens as well. I bet if I fix that I'll stay behind it better. I'll get a better video with some footwork to see if theres something outta wack there and incorporate your advice by trying to get the arms wing strait. Thanks for the advice thumbsup

Looks pretty good actually. Two things... let the ball swing, try not to pull it down from your backswing. And, try to stay on your slide leg til the ball hits the pins. Don't step off of the shot. Balance is key. I think you'll find that this will be easier when you let the ball swing free.

Thanks treakguy, I appreciate it smile . I'll keep all these things in mind when i go practice tomorrow.

Haha I just did a few 2 step drills to try and get a feel of what I want to do with my swing at start. In this drill ive done a few things different with my start. Basically hold the ball more in line with my shoulder... point the with my index finger (before id start with a flat hand, with middle finger pointing forward)... basically to work more of the inside of the ball instead of the outside.

Im trying to get the swing started correctly so as to let the ball swing and not have to muscle the ball back on line. I've kind of made this drill up my self but there maybe a more official drill for this. Has anyone seen a video of a drill like this? I'm gonna look on google in a sec, but just in case I dont find one or you know of a better one, please let me know.

When you practice, think of the (free) swing being boss, and adjusting your timing with your feet. It shouldn't be too tough for you... looks pretty close already. Just remember to be on balance at the line... that alone will help a lot.
