The PBA has announced the matches in Game 7 of match play that will be featured on today's first show of the US Open, which will be on ESPN2 @ 6 PM ET:

John Szczerbinski v. Ryan Shafer
Pete Weber v. Sean Rash
Tommy Jones v. Norm Duke
Bill O'Neill v. Jason Belmonte

Those last 3 matches should be pretty good ones. laugh

BTW, I should also give a shout out to one of my local bowlers, Alex Aguiar, who finished 44th for his best-ever showing in this tournament. laugh

Thanks! They never have a consistent viewing schedule.

PS. Are you planning on getting the Victory Road?

Excellent. I wasn't planning on tuning in until Sunday, I'm going to have to watch this one.

champ, there's a show Saturday night @ 10, too, which will show the position round matches.

Bob, I'm not planning on buying another ball anytime soon...I don't enter many tournaments, and my current arsenal should handle anything I may see. I'm also trying to save up for an HDTV...I still have a tube TV.

Wish I could have taken off work to see some of that live. frown The lanes are about an hour north of where I live.

Apparently, they modified what I thought was going to be the TV show schedule. Match play will be finished in the afternoon tomorrow, and it will be a six-player stepladder after that, with the first 2 matches taking place on tomorrow night's show.

If guess we're just about neighbours then, so I should be nice to you, just in case. heh

We went up to see squad A qualifying on Wednesday at 6pm. The logic was to see more bowlers than we would have in the semis or the final. Plus those events can be seen closer than real life on ESPN or YouTube. The matches going on tomorrow would be great to see in person though.

(I spent most of the time following Belmo, but I stayed put to watch Kelly Kulick in the last game.)

They showed only a handful of big names playing, but didn't show Chris Barnes.
They were showing 8? players. They were all bowling simultaneously with a couple camaras, so you didn't get to see everything.
A couple of nice splits were made, I think it was Duke or Weber that made a 4-9? split.

It was refreshing watching them bowl on USBC Open pattern and only coming out with @210 scores. And watching them adjusting their shots from as deep as over the left gutter to far outside.

Richie, Use caution when searching online for flat screen dimensions, the width is the outside dimension of the frame not the viewing screen itself.

Duke converted the 4-9. During each game they only showed 4 consecutive pairs, so who ever was on those 4 pairs were shown on TV. Since I believe they moved one bowler goes to the pair to the right and the other to the left, most of the bowlers were featured in both games, while two went off the TV pairs and two new bowlers came into that area.

It definitely was a different look compared to the normal show set up. Shows you what they have to go through during the week when crossing other bowlers lines on the lanes.
