I give Norm duke for not saying anything about what his competition did....Thats just stand up right in my book.
No need to insult mika for his mistake.
I could see Norm was thrilled to win but in shock....
I've know many that would be there saying yeah man you sure suck.....
But Norm took the high road for sure.

I was gonna say something looked a little off with TJ. His swing looked a little weird and ball looked slower and lacking revs. Then I remembered his hip and all the problems he's been having as a result of it. It'd be really great to see him get healthy and back into the mix as a powerhouse that he is.

Norm Duke always says things that make me tear up @ the end of a win. So dramatic. I enjoyed the way he didn't give up. Never give up on those lanes. The Legend of Duke Strikes Again...Okay, I'm off to practice those 10 pins tonight @ Jib Lanes in NY.

Duke, a class act in his final comment. "My heart goes out to Mika".

A spectacular final to watch. I'll give a lot of credit to Norm Duke for forcing Mika to have to mark in the 10th to win. It could have easily been over before that had Duke not struck out from the 9th.

Either way, very entertaining. And yes, great job by Norm Duke. Very classy.

I was told by a scorekeeper than Mika and Pete Weber used terms that they could have been fined for somewhere along the line. Not language and attitude that you'd want young fans to emulate. heh

Well, please keep in mind that this is the U.S. Open, the pressure can make all of us say even the most unfavorable of things, I'm sure that (Tournament Director) Kirk Von Krueger let it slide by, at least for this week. Maybe not so much during a regular event (such as next week), but then again, this.... is a major. It's (the prestige, the big bucks, as well as that coveted major title) all riding on the line, every shot, every game, every block, and the emotions out there in the heat of the battle can get to the best of all of us.

By any chance, do any of you know what song ESPN kept using on the TV coverage on Friday, Saturday and Sunday? All they ever played was the opening riff to the song, but they must have used it 25 times. I know I've heard it before but I've been racking (and re-racking) my brain trying to remember what song it is.
