Been having trouble in this Fri Nite house. It's the only one I have trouble in of the 3 that I bowl in.

Well, tonight, I decided to NOT fight the lanes with my better balls, and just use my weakest ball to start. This seemed to work. The ball stayed fresh all night with only a few boards of movement, and actually, seemed to get stronger as the night went on. So, why have I been fighting the lanes?

230-236-278=744, and my 5th 278 of the year. Darn 9 pin and a 10 pin on the fill ball.

Anyhow, it also was a Clean - 30 on the night too.

WTG in your "tough" house, Dennis, and a clean-30 is always good! laugh

EDIT: You can learn a lesson from tonight, too...take what the lanes will give you. smile

Too true! Don't fight what is out there, play and learn from it.
Well done Dennis on a clean 30 frames, I think I have only ever done than once in 11 yrs of bowling..

I bowled tonight Sat night, very little oil, Grrr, still its Sat night, soical/disco flashing lights night, forgot about noise and everything else, and bowled ok, in a transistional stage at present with my bowling and shot 614, very happy overall with improvement, but more happy with the fact that I worked hard to find a line that worked for a while, then moved again, just stuffed a few shots each game, but didn't let myself get too distracted.

Had to open bowl for my virtual league scores and couldnt get to my own house so went to Antioch Lanes and used my newest buy.
Brunswick Slingshot
First off Antioch Lanes was a pit(lacked basic maintenance)
up until last year when there was a microburst that tore off the roof. Since then its been closed being remodeled and opened back up around christmas time.
All I have to say is they did a faboulous job on getting this house back up. It was packed, the lanes were all new, new pinsetters, new screens, new carpet, new bathrooms, I can go on and on. Also this house was known to be dry for the most part. Not any more. Anyway on with the scores
233,203,223 all up the 2nd arrow. I did notice with this ball if I missed right I'd leave a bucket or something like a 5 pin(just not enough drive) but if missing left I was fine.
Sk8 thank you for the recommendation! as its a nice arc for me.
I also found out my ball speed is 15.86 ish which I never knew.
Rolled pretty consistant with that but anything higher is where I was coming in too light.
Average anywhere from 214-196 depending on 10 pins
High Game 300(1/19/2010 High Series 754-(2008)
Arsenal: Aura Paranormal,Shout, Brutal Nightmare
PAP 4 7/8" x 0

Had the first round of a monthly 5 man team league on this weekend. Traveled 4 hours down on the Friday night, then bowled 6 games the Saturday, 4 on Sunday. Low game was 160 (I almost died of embarrassment), high game of 256. Lanes were drier than I usually bowl on in my home centre, was standing 5/2 deeper than I usually start at. Bowled okay and came away with a 187 average, which was one of the higher numbers thrown, considering one pair was patchy as all hell, and the end pair hooked far more than any other in the centre. Teammates bowled okay, and we came away in second, which is a nice confidence booster before next months round. laugh
