I finally got my 800 series last night although it was at practice and rolled a 299.

My coach walked in and told me tonight he was going to challenge me to a 3 game series loser bought pizza, my dad told him to be careful because I really love pizza.

First game went me 265 coach 271, second game me 299 coach 278, Coach thought he had me easily 3rd game because I was so pumped about the 299 oh yeah on the last ball of my 299 ball was just a hair high and the four pin slid off of spot so far would not re-rack but didnt fall.

3rd game me 245 coach 247 I was still so pumped about the 299 and the 809 series I Dont remember what the pizza tasted like.

I wanted to share with you guys not to brag but to let you all know I still read this sight everyday and I pick up little tips that I use in my game many times. So thank you very very much.

Congrats, Jordan!

Re the 4 pin, don't you just hate when that happens? I've moved 8, 9, 4, and 5 pins as I recall. Moved the 9 pin over to the 10 pin spot once. As the cause of missing a 300, that's a real bummer.

Great bowling Jordan!.. Don't feel bad about the 299.. I've left a solid 9, 8, 7, but the one that takes the cake... In 2004 I throw a strike and shoot the 300, I'm already walking back getting high fives when all a sudden I hear people screaming "O NOoo"!!.. The head pin bounced off the wall and stood back up right as the pin setter came down... frown

Nice going Jordan. You proved you can do it, it's just a matter of when everything falls together again in sanctioned play. Like I say about 300s, and 800 is an 800 any time of the day.

Thank you everybody, funny part was my dad and coach were more upset then about the 4 pin not falling I think. At the time I knew I had a bunch of strikes but I do not look at the score a lot unless it's a competition and I throw an open I will look to see how many frames are left to make sure I have room to fix it.

I was suppose to bowl tonight but a quick 3 inches of snow made the roads pretty bad so we are not going. My uncle may take me after school tomorrow if we have school.

Again thank you . I know I have used tips or tricks from a lot of your post, I even write some in my bowling Journal to either try or discuss with my coach. For now On I will put the posters name by the tip that way I can thank them properly.

Congratulations Rocket Jr, way to shoot both honor scores together, that is great!

I actually have never shot an honor score game with any of my three 800's. My high game in an 800 is actually 279 so you accomplished something bigger than just 800. You finished strong and still kept your composure after the big second game.

Keep up the great work and keep working on your game, you are improving faster than many could imagine and in no time you will be removing Jeff Carter's name from the high book average record books!
