I had a decent night last night: 229, 247, 179. I had three splits in the first 5 frames of the last game. The lanes were breaking down faster than I was adjusting. Can't complain about a 655 though.

I know I wouldnt be Gem god bowling, Jordan is loving that Vital Sign The last set he bowled he started with it instead of his mission went 238,236, then switched to the Tropical heat for the last game and rolled a 221.

He loves the different look it gives him, for him its a more back end reaction, where his storm equipment is more arching it was a great fit. Thanks again for the tip

So the lanes decide to change the oil pattern last night(actually on Sunday come to find out) what a mess
Dry as a bone anywhere on the outside, and I of course just got rid of my dry lanes ball as I never use it. Well I could have used it last night
170, 233,180
Stranger part is my lanemaster extreme damage too strong, visionary orge (purple) too strong, Rogue cell wasn't hooking as much as the other two so now I'm wondering if its dead already.
Hmm? Any thoughts

Hey, some nice scores here. Mine aren't quite so nice, but for my current level, I'll take them.

I'm at work again tonight, so at lunch today I had to prebowl for tonight's league session. I got to do it on the pair that my teammates are using 45 minutes from now, which I don't always get to do.

143-190-220 = 553. Third straight week in the 550s after my personal-record 651. The first game could easily have been worse -- I had 63 through 6. A spare and 5 opens, 3 of which were 10-pins that I flagged. Tugged the first one and missed inside by a credit card. Guttered the second one. Tugged again on the third one and missed inside by more than a foot. blush Got my act together after that, including not missing another spare leave -- the subsequent opens were two splits and a washout. Yes, the spares even included some 10-pins. laugh

On the one hand, I like that I can occasionally put up some decent scores now. On the other, my physical Execution is still so bad that I have frequent periods of a few frames at a time where I can't do anything right.

At least it's not coming from my head anymore. The self-help note left out on the settee still helps -- I don't even need to look at it all that often anymore, but it's good to know that it's there.

Tonight's bowling, frame-by-frame (Linked to BowlSK series sheet)

Another quote from my BowlSK comment summed this night up:

Quote:
I looked lost most of the night: the first two games may have been my worst back-to-back games since I returned to league bowling. I did find something inside the last game to save the 470.

Result: 128-139-203=470
Average (51 games): 185
Average for last 9 games: 186
Next week's AVG+1 score: 564

Again, it was a case of my team not being able to put good games together, and we lost every point for the second week in a row.

OK, so it had to happen. I stunk. My lowest series of the year, last night, and it was downright ugly. I had no rhythm. Timing was completely off. Wrist was turning. Chicken winged all night. And, I couldn't stop to correct any of this.

I missed every spare on the left side of the lane, 7's, 4's, buckets. I left nasty splits. I was just horrible. 140-200-150. My teammate called it average management. I call it lousy.

And, 4 of the 5 of us were under average for the night. Only 1 bowler, who had a 750 carried us to 2 wins of 3 and total. Lost the middle game by 9 and won the final game by 2.

How did he roll so well, when I couldn't?

Maybe I should have used the Widow Maker. Last night was my Nasty. But, in any case, it was the fault of the bowler, not the ball.

Here is how bad we were.

1st bowler, 189 average shot 480, -90
2nd bowler, 200 average shot 530, -70
3rd bowler, 208 average shot 750, +125
Me, 206 average shot 490, -130
Anchor, 205 bowler shot 530, -85

Sure glad the other team wasn't much better. As 4 of them were under average as well. We gave them 190 pins in cap, and eked out 5 points on a really bad night.
