When I was bowling during league last Tuesday night I noticed that when my ball hooks in the back end it sometimes react like it hit a bump in the lane. At first I really didnt pay much mind because I thought it was something I was doing. However on Wednesday while I was practicing a few games my ball did the same thing. So I inspected my ball and I didnt feel anything ackward or see anything wrong with it. Yet after I bowled a few more frames I noticed the only time my ball reacted like that is when its in the back end and roll over one or perhaps both of the finger tip grips.
Whats going on and what should I do?

More than likely it's your release, but it's hard to tell without seeing you bowl or at least the release. It sounds like an extremely high track. When you bowl, see if you can see any oil rings, where the rings are at and how close they are to the fingers.

Dave, also check the flare (oil) rings on the ball as Calvin suggested. If you see they are coming through the finger holes you will know that the ball is indeed rolling over the finger holes.

Also,
Make sure your finger grips are completely flush with the ball. Any rubber sticking up at all will cause a problem, especially if your flaring or rolling over the fingers.

Having the pin too low in the grip will cause the bow tie of flare to be too close to the finger holes and flare back over the fingers on the back end of the lane as you described.

This is a symptom of a high track (ball tracks close to the fingers and thumb), and the pin being too low in relation to the finger holes.

Considering this ball is a plugged conventional grip ball re-drilled to a finger tip ball that could be a cause as well.
