tonight i have marked goal #2 off my list, the first sanctioned 200 is now in the books. i shot a 584 series with 188, 195 and 201 tonight. next is the 600 series which is not far off!!! hopefully i'll knock that one out on thursday. wish me luck everyone!

oh, and a side note. after i get a 600 series, what should my next goal be? obviously i want to do that consistantly, but what's the next milestone? clean series? 250 game?

You might want to look into local 500 clubs that may have tournaments for those under 600 but have shot 500. There are also 600 clubs and 700 clubs. Start working on your tournament game.

Nice going, don't put too much pressure on yourself. The thing that strikes me about your series was the consistent nature of the scoring. It looks like you did well with your spares which is your best friend when going for 600. In teaching we achieve the goal of the class by establishing objectives. Therefore if your goal is to shoot that 600 series develop a set of objectives to reach the goal such as:
Find my target and concentrate on each shot.
Maintain an even temperment.
Follow through on each shot.

You get the idea. Best of luck and congrats, the better scores will start to occur more often now.
