I'm new here, but I'll let ya'll know how I'm doing in my league in case anyone is interested. Just a bit of back story on me and my team. My team consists of my sister, my nephew, and the league secretary. All of us except the secretary just started league bowling this summer. We finished 3rd out of 12 teams. I only averaged a 163, but I was pretty consistent. My goals for this winters league is first to win it, average better than 175, and to get my first 600 series. We are ten weeks in and things are looking good. First of all we are in second place just 3 points back. My average so far is 184, but my high series is 589. This past week was my worst with a 520 series, but the rest of the team bowled well and we look 6 points. We coulda had 8, but we lost the last game by 2 pins. crying I bowled league practice yesterday and had a 618, 210-175-233. I'm most proud of the 175 game because I started with a strike, but then had 4 splits in row, didn't get flustered and finished strong. I hope I can do that well on Wed. night.

Had a bummer of a night last night. The lanes were too dry for me and my equipment. Went with my 2 weaker balls. The L/M pearl just carried long and didn't finish at all, leaving 10 pins. Switched to the Cell Pearl for a snappier back end, and left 4 splits in game 2 and 2 more in game 3.

At one stretch, I gave the Cell Pearl some more speed, but saw the back end get stronger. Left 2 consecutive 9 pins. Then, on the third ball, I left a 7-9. I never get a 7-9.

If I rolled it out, it dove on the head. If I kept it closer, it left weird leaves. So, I struggled with a 192-155-203. All while my H2H opponent was shooting 695. I don't have the same equipment to compete on this condition.

I've been watching what the others are throwing on our lanes and that was one of the things that drove me to get the pearl 2Fast. In fact, last week I had the 2Furious polished up and was actually able to use it!

What was your H2H man using vs what you were using?

Tonight's bowling, frame-by-frame (Linked to series sheet on BowlSK)

I thought I was OK after 2 games, but I don't quite know what to make of that third game. I could only execute well when I moved in to 38 once, and then fell apart. My two missed single pins were in that game, as well, so this was a game I hope I can forget.

Result: 174-198-137=509
Average (33 games): 185
Average for last 9 games: 179
Next week's AVG+1 score: 562

With both John and Carl absent, I needed help from my other two teammates and got it with a 156 first game from Eileen, but that was it, but it was fairly close for total, and my team got the first game point, anyway.

Whoo-hoo! First time ever I bowled 3 games over 200!

236-205-204, 645/215avg. I fell 5 pins short of my year end goal of a 650 series but I'm getting there!

I had 9 strikes in a row between the 5 last frames of the first game and the first 2 of the second. I sort of fell apart after that... I would lose my line, find it, and then lose it again.

I won the first H2H quite handily, lost the 2nd game by 2 pins, and won the 3rd by 10 pins. As a team we didn't fare so well, we took 9 of 20 points; we won overall by 7 pins!

Had my worst week so far. 3 pins worse than last week. 166-176-175=517. I just couldn't string any strikes together. I only had consecutive strikes twice. Plus our team lost all eight and dropped from second to fourth. Hopefully we'll rebound next week.

All I can say is that I maintained my 200 average. Had a 180-170 and finished with a 250. Yep, that's around 600.

Wasn't pretty.
