today, in the last game of league, i got the first official clean game! i was rolling along, doing great. then, in the 9th frame i left a 4-9 split (which i thought pretty odd seeings how i was right in the pocket). i was a little upset, i only needed those 2 stinkin' frames for the first official clean game. i calmed myself down and made the proper adjustment and PICKED UP THE SPLIT!!! then i spared the tenth, after an ugly throw with the 1,3,6 & 8 left. i always have trouble with that one but i got it! so not only did i get that clean game, i earned it the hard way! hooray for me!

Hey man, that is awesome. You should be really happy with your achievement. Bowling a clean game is more important than a lot of bowling realize. I typically put more stock in a clean game than I do with just about anything else. I know that with a clean game, all I need is a double and you're looking at a 200. Great job and keep up the good work!

Nice bowling lorok. Don't fool yourself about the 4 - 9 though. You leave that usually with a high hit and a driving ball. Pay attention to what the pins are telling you. Again, congratulations on the clean game.

Congratulations! Every achievment in bowling is progressive, after a lot of work. It is the same thing with the first 500, 600, 700, and even 800 series or the first 299 or 300 game. It usually takes a long time between these progressive events and prior to the first 600, or 700, a bowler will get close but not achieve the break through of the seemless imaginary barrier until he or she has had many attempts at breaking through it. Bowlers even always seem to back way off and then out of nowhere one day they crash through the barrier for the first time and then they back way off again for some time until they achieve a second break through. So now that you have had your first clean game, work on breaking through the other bowling barriers.
Keep on bowling with the full knowledge that once you have had a clean game you can do it again and again. However don't get disappointed that it does not happen right away.
Great job. I teach the kids how to bowl in our local alley. First thing I ask them is "Do you want to average at least 190?" All of them say yeah. Then I tell them to learn how to make spares. They say "What about striking Mr. Shirtz?" I then tell them they can be a 190 average bowler if they 9 spare everytime without even striking. Its that double somewhere in the middle that gets you to the 200 average. Just a thought. Keep bowling. Shirtzporter
