Bowl in 3 houses, and haven't hit this one. I have been stuck, until tonight, finally. 224-201-216 = 641

So then I stayed after to practice with my daughter and bowled a 243, 277, 213. All of the sudden my release and timing felt really good and the ball was hitting the pocket on almost every shot. Do I really need to have three warm-up games?

I don't think it's the warm up games that'll help, they don't help me. I bowled 190-177-193 this week, turned right around on the same lanes and bowled 219-232-217-183 after league; and that was working with a new ball and fooling around with my old strike ball. I think much has to do with timing and the flow in league play compared to open play.

I've gone in a hour early just to throw a practice game or two and my league play will be consistently less than practice. It might have some to do with the fact the oil the lanes right before we start league, but certainly some of it is mindset.

Well another average/mediocre type of night for me. The complete breakdown is on my Bowlsk. The short version is a 559 series with games of 181, 193 and 185. I just wasn't executing how I started the season. There was a lot of muscling of the ball, not setting up right or just bad releases. We lost the first two games but one the last game by enough to take total.

A very difficult night for myself, my teammates, and the league in general. It was exceptionally humid inside, causing the approach area to become very sticky. Witnessed at least 6 fouls in the first match, two of them coming from my team. Scoring was very low which led me to a couple extra drinks and a lot of disappointment in my game.

Games: 177, 172, 141 - 490.

Balls were all over the place tonight. Going to breathe this one in and right back out. Tomorrow is a new and better day.

Feeling pretty good about the start of leagues this year. Last year, I only had 1 700 all year. I got my 4th tonight for this year.

232-226-256=714

Unfortunately, all of my teammates struggled, so we only won 1 game. That was discouraging. But, I won all of my head to head points.

week 8 Monday classic scores: 167, 161, 182 for a 510 series. I don't know what is going on with me in this league. in my wednesday night league I have a 200 avg. in this league I have a 187 avg. it is the same house, they are both 9:00pm leagues ( not fresh oil ). I just don't understand why I struggle on Monday. I do fine in practice and on wednesday, just not Monday.

Great bowling Dennis!

I'm still waiting to get it together this year. Its funny, bowling looks fairly easy,..but we al know thats not the case, so your scores are something to be proud of.

Tonight's bowling, frame-by-frame (Linked to series sheet on BowlSK)

I felt more "out of it" than I usually do tonight. It showed not only in my bowling, but in my entry of the data for BowlSK, as I made a few errors in the initial entry of frames that I could only reconcile by checking the scores with what was on the recap at the end of the night and going back over the games based on my memory. The highlights were 5 in a row bridging the second and third games, and a conversion of the 2-4-10 in the last frame of the night.

Result: 170-146-173=489
Average (24 games): 188
Average for last 9 games: 182
Next week's AVG+1 score: 583

It wasn't a good night for the team, either. Eileen was battling a volleyball injury all night, and only John and Patrick had at least one game over average (Carl matched his average last game.) The team lost all four points, which I'll chalk up as a team loss.
