demos, if I still lived in Park Ridge, I would consider it. But, the trip from No. Barrington is just too far. There is another bowler here who is in Skokie. Maybe he could help.

I also need to drop about 30 lbs. before the stress on my knee will takes its toll. I gained the 30 lbs. since the start of last season. I don't smoke anymore, so I guess I shoveled in the food when I was under stress. Still better than smoking I guess.

Spring league just ended, and fall leagues don't start until September. I'm having bowling withdrawls already! I'll be bowling two mixed leagues, Tuesday and Thursday nights.

Monday nights will be my fun league, with my wife, a friend of ours and her dad. Wednesday night is the 5 man mens league and Thursday night will be 3 person PBAX League (this league basically runs 52 weeks a year, with 14 or 16 weeks being the summer league but it is continously running no weeks off between the start fall/winer and the summer and the same between summer and fall/winter)

Sat night may be my big sub night

My plan is to do a Monday night 5 man league with some friends at work and the 3 man scratch league with my usual team mate and anyone else we can pick up, hopefully with high average. The scratch league is max capped at 646 this year, and with me currently averaging 185 and him currently averaging a little over 190 we need a big average to make us competitive. We have bowled this once before a few years ago before taking a couple of years break from bowling and finished dead last, but it was still great to be surrounded by good bowlers with good advice.

My main goal is to carry similar averages in both leagues. I feel I can probably get up to around 190 in scratch league, but I have a hard time staying focused with so many bowlers around and the time between shots. I have never bowled a 5 man team before, but four is hard enough for me to stay in it. I really need to get the focus part down no matter what conditions as I think that is my biggest downfall in my game at this time.

I'm probably doing 3 leagues this fall. Tuesday early is a 5 man league and Tuesday late is a 4 man highly competitive league. Same goes for my Thursday late league. I'll be subbing whenever someone needs me. lol

I'm only doing one league this season with my teammates from Friday nights. However, this one is a LOT more competitive. It starts September 8, 2010 and is a Mixed 4 person handicap league on Wednesday Nights with $5,000 added prize money. I'm soo geeked for it to start because I know they bowl serious (sober) on Wed nights compared to Fri nights. This house does Kegler Cash, so it is possible for me to bring home $150 off of a $15 investment. Not to mention the brackets and sidepots that also go on. They were bowling a sport league during the summer like I was, so you already know what time it is when we get on this cake house pattern. I don't see why we can't be league champions, even though we have 19 other teams in our way.
