186-186-220, 592. Weird night tonight. First practice frame I went up there forgetting to take my slide foot booty off. Fell flat on my face and landed on my left hand. It's sprained pretty good. Fortunately it's not my bowling hand, but it hurts like heck.
Didn't miss a spare attempt all night, except for splits, but I had six big ones. Even made a 4-9 and a 5-7 too. Just couldn't string any strikes together, until the end of the last game when I had a 4-bagger.
But we took 3 out of 4 points and finished up in 2nd place in league, so we bowl in the winners group in the tournament. Still need to work on my focus though.

Tonight's bowling, frame-by-frame (Link to series on BowlSK) As the reader can see on the BowlSK page, I threw a strike, and one that actually counted for something, on my very first shot with my new ball, the Storm Fast. I knew I'd spend most of the night moving until I could find an optimum line, but I ended up standing 33 and looking 12, much like I've been throwing my Hy-Road. The difference? The Fast holds its energy longer, so I have something left for the back-end. The bad second game I'll chalk up to missing spares, but with a final game in the 230s (my high to date in this league) and a set over 580 (also my best this summer), I have to consider the night a resounding success. As for the team, John supported my 190 with a 188 of his own to help us take the first game, but the third game was notable on a personal level because the 234 came opposite a 256 from our opponents' anchor, who is considered the best lefty in the house, and, had I not had the good game opposite a quality opponent, we would not have won the third game's points, let alone by enough to also take the points for total.

Shot ok last night, lost some carry the 3rd game- 257 254 214 for 725. Picked up a pin on my average. But last night, I saw something I've never seen before- a teammate of mine, who I've seen shoot at least 10-12 300s in the years that we've bowled together, as well as 5-6 800s, shot 276 258 300 for an 834. In the 10th frame of our second game, the heel from his right shoe (non-slide foot) came off. SST 7s, so it's not one that you can just stick back on with the velcro. He proceeded to roll the 300 game with a shoe on that had no heel. I'm thinking of removing mine later today...ok, maybe not.

I've seen shoes fall apart, I've just never seen anyone shoot 300 with half a shoe before.

Ha, I have reported on another thread that the slide heal on my SST1 is shreading, and the shoes will be replaced.

I used to own a pair of SST5's and the heal on the non-slide foot also fell off.
On a second note, I had to pre-bowl for my league last friday night because I was out of town in the Keys for the week.
Went 247-279-265 for a 791. The sad part is that the last game I knew I needed 27X (274 exactly) and I joked at the counter that if I leave a single pin I was going to miss it just in spite of not being able to get the award because of the pre-bowl. Well, I proceed to throw the front 9 and pretty much just needed to throw a half decent shot in the 10th. So I decided (on accident) to go up there and pull the ball left, through the nose to leave the big 4 and picked up the 6-7-10 out of it.
That series brings my average back to 238.42 so I am still hovering at close to 240.

I knew I had the Shark tonight for the last time. In preparation for it, I sanded my pin-down Evil Siege to 180 grit so it could bite after 43 feet. It proved successful. I had games of 165 201 159 169 for a 694 series. This was the first time I ever logged my scores on the Perfect Game App. According to it, I only had 4 splits total. I was able to raise my average up again, finally! I now have a 150 avg, a gain of 2 pins. Next week is the last week on Viper, before the Tournament of Champions Position Roll Offs. I hope my Evil Siege will shine once again because Viper has been my toughest pattern.
