I have to have a new pair of shoes. My level Etonics have done their job but they are DONE! I've been researching the forum and other sites about what i should get. I want to get a rt handed specific shoes with interchangable soles and heels. I'm looking at the 3G Tour Ultras and the SST 8s. sounds like there are problems with the Dexters and have heard wonderful things about the Ultras.

I don't slide much but i think it had something to do with my shoes. I don;t want to practically kill myself when i get a pair of shoes that actually slide so how do i "learn" to slide so to speak.

Also do i go with my gut feelings on the 3Gs? I don't know if it matters but i;m a 41 year old female that has had 2 knee surgeries on my left knee (surgeries are not bowling related) not sure if that makes a difference.

Thanks for listening to me babble. Any and all information would be greatly appreciated

First vote for the 3G's.

I like my 3Gs, but I think I'm going to take one of the soles I don't use and glue a full teflon sheet to it, so I have a "slide under any circumstance" sole for use on synthetic approaches. The 3Gs have teflon cleats (which I use), but not a full teflon sole.

I bought a pair of 3G Tour Ultras 2 months ago and I don't have any problems with them. I also heard about the "issues" with the Dexters regarding the soles possibly rolling back, so I took a chance with the 3Gs. For what it's worth, I've have a few surgeries on my knees as well. The key will be to try the various soles and see which works best for you.

I can't use the Dexter SST6 or 8's. They are just too wide for my narrow foot, and provide no support. My Pro Shop convinced me to purchase a pair of SST1, without the interchangeable soles, as they were suposed to be narrower. Well, they were, so I bought them in May. 2 months of use, and the heals are falling apart. The face of the heal has peeled like it is delaminating. The Pro Shop will place them. But, I have to turn them in first and wait 2 weeks for replacements to come in.

IMT, I have to use House shoes.

I would be all out of sorts if I had to wear a pair of house shoes again. Grown accustomed to just the single slide.
