Hi all,

I am really pumped after watching "A League of Ordinary Gentlemen".. It was such a fantastic watch.. Exciting, brilliant, heart felt, kinda like the Titanic, but about bowling!!
Wayne Webb's honesty was very confronting, very moving, yet a little sad as well... PDW and Walter great viewing, overall it is a must see for any bowling enthusiast..PDW is such an a**hole, so you just have to love him, hes my favourite sporting a**hole, and Walter just the opposite, but both brilliant...

Anyone else seen it? What are your thoughts on it??
I will watch it again next week, it is that good...

Love your thoughts on this..
Take care
Looseleftie

I watched it on Netflix Watch Instantly a couple of months ago. I thought it was pretty good. When I read that Wayne Webb had won some big senior tournament recently I was very happy for him. Definitely recommended viewing for any bowling enthusiast.

I own the movie, bought it a few years back when it came out. I watch it at least twice a year, and everytime I do I feel like bowling after I seeing it.

I have it also. Became a PDW fan because of this movie. The Wayne Webb story was interesting also. Nice insight into the PBA.

I saw it a few weeks ago. It's pretty enjoyable, for the most part. My favorite part, that I won't ever forget, is Walter Ray sweeping off the roof of his RV -- when most people would be busy celebrating.

I wish pros in other sports loved their sport as much as Pro bowlers love bowling. There is no reason to be on the PBA tour other than love of the game. It is very sad, these guys have dedicated their lives to a dying sport.

100% in agreement. I went down to Wichita for the Red, White & Blue Tourn. last Dec. and had the best time ever. A total shame that this sport is basically ignored by the mainstream world.

I felt so moved at times with Wayne Webb, and his aspirations of staying out on tour. His frustration and disappointment and moments of making the grade, great viewing...

Just curious whether ESPN still show bowling right up against Monday night football (I'm a non USA resaident)... Tough scheduling that one!!

How do get bowling seen by mainstream, the million dollar question. This could be a seperate forum post that could on for years...

Look back to the recent year or so, on Wayne for his first year or so on the senior tour. He's made a mark for himself.
