I have a ~150 average...

The other day after a mediocre session bowling below my average, I bowled 9 strikes in a row... (7/ 7 on the tenth)... For a total of 274. .. during disco-bowling. Easily my best ever and more than 100pts over my average.

Bowling is way more fun when I throw strikes!

Congratz my friend. Once it starts, it tends to continue. And strikes do make the game way more fun and fast too.

Awesome job.

Maybe the relaxed environment of the "disco-bowling" worked for you. I know sometimes I bowl a lot better when I force myself to "just bowl" without thinking about everything so hard.

My fiancee bowled her very first 200 game last Friday (exactly 200, as a matter of fact), during a game when the bowling alley was packed to the brim with noisy, disrespectful teenagers. The group to our left and right were completely oblivious to regular bowling etiquette. But, for some reason, the chaos always seems to help her focus on her game more -- while I'm the opposite, the noise and distractions screw with my head.

That's a bit of a tangent, but grats, for bowling such a good game.

Nice job, Kind. smile My best friend told me on the phone tonight that he had a similar experience last night. He's a 195 average who took up the sport in 2007. Hadn't bowled for a month prior to cosmic bowling a few games last night. He shot 217-279-276 = 772. It's his first-ever 700, and he kinda blew the mark outta the water there. Now he just needs to shoot a couple more of those and for them to be sanctioned. grin

Great bowling Kindbowl... I remember when I had a 150 + ave, and I threw one of those games u threw, it is simply an awesome feeling... I still remember it, and have a little trophy to prove it... Well done, and I'm sure you will keep improving, sounds like u are right into bowling, so it almost a certainlty that you will get plenty more "big" games...

I still haven't got my 300, but have come pretty close about 4 times this year, but its all good... Its a great achievement especially during disco hour at your centre... Me, I struggle when the duff duff music is on, and the lights go down, not to mention the social bowlers who cut u off, which make me hurry up to avoid them cutting me off. I think your achievment is all the more special due to those circumstances... I remember once I was lining up for a shot and some little 3 or 4 yr old ran right out in front of me as I began my approach....I avoid the disco bowling, as minormillikin says it messes with your head.

Keep those high games coming mate.

I agree with loose, I cant see my mark or figure my lines with the lights low, to repeat in those circumstances is impressive in it self. congrats

Great bowling KindBowl! Jamming out to the Bee Gee's must really help you find your groove. I'm going laser bowling tonight, so hopefully I can have the same type of performance as you.

I hope you carry this momentum into the bowling season and have a great year.

Congrats dude, that is an awesome score. And I also have to agree with everyone, I could never stay focused enough to score that high during disco/laser/cosmic/whatever bowling. Music is great, low lights and rude teens are not. Keep up the great bowling!

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to replicate that in any way shape or form.
My scores have been at all time lows ever since that big game...
