I finally had time to get my Storm Prodigy drilled last night. I had it drilled for THS, fresh oil and Big Al did his magic. As luck would have it it was buck night. This was the first Prodigy Al had drilled and we were both anxious for a try out. First game out of the box 208, second (I got a little sloppy) 133, last game 155. These were bone dry synthetic lanes on the left. totals 208-133-155/496 165avg, it's gonna be tough on league night Hyroad or Prodigy undecided

How were you playing? Deep inside? Fallback? Up twig?

Had mine for a little while, drilled up for strong midlane read on sport conditions, and it's fared well enough, but I'm still learning how the little guy rolls. Only been out on THS a coupla times and the only issue I've had is that it's an earlier burn out.

Got a 2010 Nationals pattern to play tonight, and I expect to give him a go.

I will be getting my Prodigy next week. Looking forward to adding it as a "filler" for a hole that I have in my current arsenal. I recently dropped weight and am going to fill the slot my HyRoad had in 15# with a 14# Prodigy. Still wondering what drilling to go with?? How do you guys have yours drilled?

I shot at the second arrow to the first long board, thats a little further out than I usually play. The lanes were bone dry and had not been oiled for four days, I anticipate with oil that line may not work. I didn't question Al on the exact lay out, I just told I wanted it for fresh oil and THS he's a great go to Pro Shop owner and I recently bowled in a fun league with his family. He knows what I can do and drills perfect. My thumb holes are always perfect were both south paws with the same size thumb thumbsup

When I rebuilt my arsenal, Schlem told me to wait until their other summer release was put out. After hearing about the Prodigy and reading about it, I am glad that I got what I did. I like how my current arsenal steps down. With the Prodigy instead of a Hy-Road, I think that it would have been too little of a step down from my VE and too much of a step down to my Heat. If I was able to add a few balls to what I have now, I would definitely get one.

My revised 14# arsenal will most likely be as follows:

VG (4000 Dull)
2nd Dimension (1000 Polished)
Tropical Heat (Black/Silver OOB)
Prodigy (OOB for now)
Roto Grip Grenade (OOB)
Plastic Spare Ball

I mostly bowl on a 38' THS Medium Oil, but that may change to a 40' soon. There are two other houses I bowl in and one of those has changed their house pattern about 3 times in the past 6 months. The other is an older wood lane house.........no clue as to the pattern??? Maybe with this arsenal configuration I'll have most lane conditions covered.......maybe?

I've forgotten the exact specs, but pin's about 4-->4.5 (over), higher CG, balance on PAP. It's been several weeks, and it rolls according to the early read I asked for. Not much good for dry 38' THS with our area's mostly dried out backends, but it definitely was a winner on a 45' heavy condition when my strongest solid wouldn't hold.

Highway to Hell 40' was okay last night, but it was way too jumpy exiting oil. Invasion covered the necessary boards just as it did on the similar Nationals pattern this year.

It is a perfectly good ball, though, and this one definitely has it's place at tournaments with long oil where I need to open up a line.

VG remains my benchmark, however, and with two stronger, two weaker (pearl and hybrid), plus the urethane I believe I'm covered. Definitely am for these Kegel patterns, that's for sure.

Anything new at this point would probably be a strongly drilled pearl, and I'd stick with the Cell line, but I'm certainly in no hurry.
