Is it neccesary? When do you need one? I want one, but I am not sure if I need it.

Guess it's for people trying to put a little more hand on the ball. If you have sweaty palms it might be good. The main thing I don't like about it is that you would have to redrill your balls to fit your fingers with the glove on.

I have sweaty hands, and want to put more revolutions, but I guess everything can suffice as of now, don't want to go through the trouble of redrilling.

This "grips" glove seems like it would be nice for me. Maybe on my next ball purchase, I may check it out.

Without watching the whole video or listening to any of it, the only good I see this "glove" doing is protecting the fingers from getting cut up by the finger holes at release. The same can be done with tape like Wes Malott does, but in the long run the Grips would probably be cheaper. If you use finger inserts you would have to go with a bigger insert, if no inserts the hole would probably have to be enlarged.

Ideally if your fit is correct the palm can be sweaty all it wants, because the only part of the hand that should come in contact with the ball is the tip of the pinkie, and a line running the whole index finger, the "ball" of the index finger and the ridge running to the base of the thumb.

I'm definitely not impressed.

Why? two reasons:
1 - fingers don't need protection
2 - finger inserts provide enough grip for any reasonable release

If you throw it so hard and rip the ball so hard that your fingers slip out, then this glove is for you. If that's the case, then by all means, however, that boggles my mind.

Personally, for myself, I would love to have a thumb saver glove, like the one Brunswick makes... Then maybe my thumb would stop getting beat up in this d***m Michigan humidity. I'm about a hair's breadth away from getting one, because no one in Michigan seems to know how to drill an IT slug.

How do I know those folks weren't tearing up the lanes without the glove?? Thanks, but I'll pass. Just another toy.

I will wait for the version that includes a thumb slug attached to the glove, in addition to the finger inserts. For a lot of people, I think thumbs take more of a beating than fingers.

Don't bother getting one. I got one to try it (they're only $10) and it's not very good. Loose fit, and seams down the sides, which really hinder a good fit in the thumbhole. If your thumb gets torn up it's better to use protection tape. I use a full wrap now and my thumb stands up much better to the wear and tear of bowling a dozen games at a time.

Then it's probably just good for someone who has a comically high backswing that muscles 30 mph but yet wants Robert Smith on crack revs. That joker in the video made my shoulder hurt just watching him Bobby Knight that ball down the lane.
