It's been a while so here goes with my Summer league. I'm just bowling one summer league, while I work on my practice plan from my recent video lesson at USBC Nationals.

Last Week = 220, 188, 221, 151 = 780

I just returned from bowling USBC Nationals and it was a challenge maintaining consistency.

Tonight = 258, 255, 242, 224 = 979

I was able to keep to my practice plan. The last game was my best overall game, except for three straight frames, with flush pocket 7-pins. I made the first spare, then missed the next two. Anyway, I didn't panic and made a move left one board to get my entry angle back.

I don't believe I have posted yet about my Summer League that I bowl on friday's so here we go.

Week 1: 257-213-278 for a 748.

http://www.bowlsk.com/games/view-series.html?series=2096217

Week 2: 255-206-278 for a 739.

http://www.bowlsk.com/games/view-series.html?series=2073219

Not a bad start to the summer league thus far considering I am at 247.8 average after 6 games.

Not sure, and sadly over the last two years combined my average in the second game is about .75 of a pin higher than the other two games. So far this season I am just "slightly" under that haha.

I seem to be in a funk in my Spring / Summer league. 204-155-190, 549 tonight. This is the third sub 550 series in a row. Had only one turkey and one double all evening. Missed a couple of easy spares too. Practiced about an hour before hand and was consistently stringing 4 or 5 in a row. Go figure.

As someone said earlier tonight, it was "average control". wink Coincidentally, he had a 549 too.

226-227-232 last night for a 685.

Had the front 7 the last game then left the 6-10 (wiff), then left the 4-9, then ringing 10, strike. Could have been a much bigger game if I had thrown one more good shot. Oh well, can't really get to upset about a 685.

Not a very good first night in the PBAX league. I forgot how tough the animal patterns can be after bowling in winter THS leagues. Started week #1 last night on the Chameleon which seems to be my worst pattern reflecting back to last year. My humbling scores were: 136-177-133 = 446.

I was trying to play just inside of the track area and I could not get a consistent ball reaction from frame to frame whether I hit my mark or not. The spares even played much different than a THS requiring much more thought and precision. After having such a good winter season and finishing with a high average of 216 I thought I would have had a better start.

The good news is the house will be putting down the PBA shot of the week on Sunday mornings for anyone in the PBAx league who wants to practice. Iím going out there this Sunday to try and get used to flat oil again. At the very minimum I would like to at least get my flat oil spare game in order because it really sucked last night.

I get a crack at the Chameleon pattern tonight as well. I did not fare too well on the Cheetah, so hopefully things go better these next three weeks. I am going to start between 5 and 10 with my lightly polished Sting and see how things develope. May need to change up to a pearl, and use the Sting later.

Its still fun to try and match up to the challenge.
I do need some new equipment though....LOL.

Now the Motiv balls have recently caught my eye. I wanted some new LM equipment, but I have seen some Motiv balls rolled recently and was impressed. Hmmmm......

Last night's bowling, frame-by-frame (Link to series on BowlSK)

I just didn't feel like myself last night, for whatever reason; I sort of got it together the last game, but that was only the "got one lane but not the other" variety. On the bright side, I only missed one of my nine single pins.

Team took one game, but, ironically, that was my lousy game, and we lost the second game by 5 pins despite a 193 from John. Also on the plus side, Eileen had another decent night, and could've broken 400 again if her second game had been a bit better.

Week 3 tonight: 226, 244, 224, 211 = 905

Just like last week, the last game was my downfall. Even though I threw my best overall game, a 10th frame split ended my night.

For the night, I was very satisfied with my shot Execution.
