Well I finally picked up my Storm HyRoad yesterday. Hit the lanes with it an hour afterwards and was impressed. Only got 2 games on it (need to have the thumb opened up a lil) Had games of 202 and 246 with it. For me it seemed like a nice controllable ball with a predictable roll into the pocket. I made sure I got a pair of lanes that were recently oiled so I had fresh oil to roll on. Playing right around 8r, the ball smoothly arched into the pocket. I was also impressed by the carry I got on lighter hits. My scores really didn't show how well this ball performed for me as I fouled on a couple of throws (which I never do) and the scorer was set for league play and I never bothered to correct the scoring, just scuffed my slide foot shoe up to prevent fouling. I will have some more feedback on the ball as I have league tonight at a house that lays a lot of oil down. So far, I love the ball!!!!

Well I got 3 more games on the HyRoad and it was in League play. Very, very happy with this ball. It holds up well in the middle part of the lane and has a nice predictable, arching motion into the pocket. The carry is great on lighter hits, but when I did come in a lil heavy, I was punsihed by a couple of Big 4s!!! All in all, 5 games on the ball, a high of 265 with 8 in a row, its my go to ball to start and get almost all the way through a series with. I held line with is ball, with only a 1-2 board mark change through 2 1/2 games before I went to a lighter oil ball to continue on my same mark and still get to the pocket!!! I must ball in my eyes for you outside down and in bowlers!!!

I hear ya. Mines a certified BEAST. I can play from 15 board to 3 board with it. Very versatile and consistent ball with a nice sharp break that powers through the pins. Pretty much all you have to do is throw it right and let the ball do the work.

Got 4 more games on my new HyRoad and this ball is just crushing the pins for me. This ball holds the mid lanes very well with a smooth arching motion into the pocket but it delivers a serious blow to the pins. Even coming in a lil light this ball is still carrying 10. The nice thing is is that during league and practice with a couple of friends and my bro yesterday, I can play the same mark with a minimal 1-2 board of movement. This ball really holds its line well. Since I have gotten the ball, it has been the only ball I have used and as lanes break down I have not even had the need to make a ball change. Total games with the HyRoad have been 202 199 214 265 168(don't ask, lol, thumb issue) 191 214 245 246 thats an average of 216.00. NICE!!!!!

If you dont mind me asking what are you guys paying for the Hyroad out in your areas? It's an older ball so i was wondering what a good price would be when i go to the Pro Shop to order.

Hey Hooker and Demolition Man, I was looking at your arsenals, and your posts,is your Hyroad your strongest ball both on oil and medium conditions? Are you playing THS leagues with this ball. If so I have to get me one of these because a ball that can handle that much is EXACTLY what i need.

I picked mine up for $144 drilled with lifts and slug out the door!

The HyRoad is my strongest ball now and my go to ball to start things off. It has been holding up and responding well on Heavy, Med Heavy and Med oil conditons. I can pretty much play the same mark only moving 1-2 boards to stay online when condtions are heavy to Med Heavy. When it becomes medium/light I put the ball away and go to my SRP med/light or TS light and play the same mark instead of adjusting deeper inside, I just go to a weaker ball.

The Hyroad has held up well. In most nights at league (THS) I would make 2 ball changes a night between my SRP and TS. Since I got the HyRoad, I am easliy going 2 games and sometimes into the start to middle of the 3rd game with the HyRoad alone, only making a late, last minute ball change to stay online. So far so goo. It has impressed me very much so. Mostly the length of time I can use it in league, the oil conditons it plays well on (heavy to med) and the midlane hold it has and the carry I get with it. It drives pretty hard for me in the backend.

I had some issues last night with it, but it was a new house with new pattern and different lane make up(Mondays est avg after 3 games is 161, Tues night avg after 6 games is 203 open bowling avg has been 216 pluswith the HyRoad) I had some mental issues last night. But the house I am bowling at tonight, this ball really plays well for me.

Yeah $144. It's a new Pro Shop I was refered to by a bunch of bowlers in my league. He gurantees the lowest prices and backs all his work. Had a very good experience at his shop and I would recommend and do business with him again. I've been looking for a good Pro Shop
