Oh no no no i had alot of beer lol i was just saying the reason i went down hill was from beer lol.

Tonight i bowled a 642 215-180-247 thumb was hanging up in the 2nd game sanded out the thumbhole alittle and was back on it. Only had 1 beer a game this time lol, i tell ya what though when me and my other male teammate get on the same page on the same night holy crap i feel sorry for the other team.

Brett- keep it up you'll get to 600. Worst part of it is when you start getting 600's pretty regularly you'll feel bad when you shoot in the 500's lol. Then you'll be wanting a 700 or 800 it never ends haha.

Thanks. Yes, I'm convinced that the extra two nights of practice are what made the difference.

I sure hope I can maintain this level -- 43 pins per game over my official average.

Keep it up Brett. Bowling once a week generally only maintains your average. The practice will greatly help.

Now, if you could couple the practice with someone helping you, you could improve even more. When I restarted, I bowled with a teammate every Tues for practice. And, with his watchful eye, I fixed a bunch of bad things.

Tonight, bloody dreadful!! 172,140,189 501 series... All over the place, grrrrrrrr!! Splits, missed spares, off balance at release, just couldn't get consistant with delivery.

Bowling tomorrow, so hope I can get over this...

bowled a 675 last night. 4th best series i've thrown and the first good series for 1.5 seasons ...

started out with a 210, even threw a gutter ball (first ball), luckily after a strike and luckily i managed to spare it haha.

second game went 248, second frame left me a ringing 10. 9th frame left me a solid 9. 11 balls seemingly perfect into the pocket tho. 12th ball hooked right into the nose.

Got my cell pearl out of the ball because i wanted a bit more skid/snap (my nomad started rolling a little early, or so it seemed). I was quite surprised to find that my cell pearl actually out hooked my nomad (first time, i don't get the cell out often because it ussually doesn't hook for me). Took me 4 frames to find the pocket again. 5th frame left me a ringing 10 again. The struck 5 times in a row for a 217.

total of 675 and a very happy player here. Not onmy because of the score but because i actually felt good playing that score, the ball really got off my thumb very fluently and the ball made a nasty move to the pocket crushing the pins. been AGES since i saw this pin action on my throw.

671 for me last night 169-299-203, shoulda had a 700 series but i'm to stubburn to put my virtual gravity away and go to a less agressive ball in the first game. The third game was better then the score show's. Every frame was a pocket it but i was leaving 7 pin 8 pin 9 pin 10 pin's lol. I'd adjust for the pin i left and leave the one next to it adjust again and leave the one next to that kinda weird.

Thanks Dennis. I had a couple of lessons from Erin (Atochabsh) a couple of years ago. They really helped and I could definitely benefit from more lessons.

My league gets 4 hours of free practice every week. Today I only practiced 3 games. 156, 183, 202. I strained my middle finger -- normally I practice about 7 games.

My team has moved from 13th to 6th and climbing. Friday we face the team with the highest averages (over 200). My team's averages range from 126 to 147. Good thing its a handicap league!

Lessons are great, and as Dennis mentioned bowling only once a week, will help ave a bit, but not really take it up that much.. By practising u can really work at different lines, single pins like 10... it really helps.. I have learnt how to practise over only the last year, use to throw game after game... Dumb!!!

Now I practise smart, can't afford a ton of games where I bowl, but getting more consistant overall with strike lines and spare shooting.. I recommend keeping up practise, and get a coach or a knowledgable eye on your game..

Good luck Brett.

Shot
221(3 opens=2 splits and a 10pin miss)
255
267 (one shot missed the head pin all together to the left for a total brain [censored])
Finished with a nice set of 743.
