Awesome video and interesting layout on the DarkStar. One of my favorite balls was the Pluto. I switched from 14# to 15# and sold it but was thinking of replacing it with the DarkStar or Riot. I would be interested in hearing your opinion on the difference between the DarkStar/Riot compared to the Pluto.

Great video. Too bad all ball reviews aren't done like this.

What I found interesting was that with the straighter release, the ball read enough in the oil that the breakpoint occurred very close to the 39 foot line, probably around 42 feet. With the stronger release, being more in the oil, the breakpoint appeared to occur around the 50 foot line. That's a hell of a difference.

Awesome video. I bookmarked MattyG on YouTube.

Forget the ball, I want that hand! (and form....)

Excellent review, I like the look of this ball for sure. Want something a bit weaker than my Hy-Road to use on ths. This looks like it might work well for me.

yes, indeed this is a great video. i too am looking for a ball to use when the hyroad is too much. would you recommend this dark star or a reign? what layout would be good? i am debating between these two. any input would be appreciated.

The Reign seems to have a pretty big move on the backend. I think that ball is bigger than its advertised and I don't think its going to be weaker than the hy-road, I think it will be about the same as far as aggressiveness, it will just have a sharper breakpoint shape to it.

iconz, I would definitely look at the Dark Star to compliment your Hy-Road, I think that would be a great choice.
