My leg goes wherever momentum takes it. Nowadays, mostly to the left, down low. Sometimes back straight, down low. If I uscle the shot, it goes to the right.
I haven't been paying attention to whether it's on the floor or not.

Is it a bad thing if your leg is in the air? Is it better to keep it on the ground?

If you released the ball well without muscle and you have your balance at the line what difference does it make? Watch some of the pro's like PDW you'll see his trail leg off the ground at release.

Exactly sk8. Lifting your leg is fine if it fits you. I can't do it because I usually lean too far forward and that screws with my shot.

I don't lift my leg, though one time I had to do it, since the sole of my break shoe was coming off and I didn't want to damage it anymore. I felt so off balance. The only people I do see that lift their leg are 2 handed bowlers in our league. I just looked at Belmont's release and he lifts his leg as well.
