Absolutely. Channel all the time. Got plenty of authorized witnesses to that. Happily, I did no such thing at Nationals this weekend, but I'd have been in good company if I had. And some of those good folk didn't take it too well--definitely weren't paying attention to the "No play outside 5!"

Only fun channel story I have is the Invasion rolled out of the channel (overthrown) and carry right through the pocket as if 0 was the breakpoint. No bounce up and down onto the lane--no noise--just roll in and right out. Just appeared to have shrugged it off.

Nowadays, I do incorporate finding out of bounds during practice, and given that I'm still learning twig play I expect to channel like it's my job.

I didn't do this but a team we was playing. The guy throw's a spinner type ball i dunno how he even does it without breaking his thumb. But he release's the ball it sticks on his thumb goes about down to the arrows bounces once on the lane, then in the gutter bounces out of the gutter hits the ball return cap between the lanes then slams into my teammates gutter rolls down and her lane scores it as a 0 lol.

For whatever reason during my league when one of the better players goes into the gutter it becomes like a disease and all of a sudden people start doing it left and right. Doesn't help that a lot of cheers and jeers follow the gutter ball.

Last week I was bowling fairly normal and following a couple strikes & spares I bumped my leg and sent it into the gutter. I hung my head in shame.

But I'm improving, I used to get about 1-2 gutters a night, now I'm 1 every 2-3 nights. But it really bites when it following a spare. At least after a strike you have a chance to convert for the points.
