Well I have returned from my trip to Wichita. Heavy one Columbia Freeze, of which I shot 244, 228 with before the lanes were so beyond dry it was useless.

Saturday morning, Team Event was consistent. 207-206-201-614 used 3 balls and varying lines. Then I broke down and had Billy Murphy drill me up a Columbia Freeze. Followed by Hooters Girls, Southern Comfort, and chicken wings. Took a nap then more booze and Japanese Steak house which was excellent.

Sunday morning, after the torture chamber bed, and little sleep. Headed to the lanes about 7:30 for the 8:00 singles and doubles squads. Doubles went well shot 198, brought out the Freeze and shot 244, 228 - 670 Series. Switched pairs for singles and shot 172, 180, 220- 572

So 1856 scratch for 9 games averaged 207 so i can't complain. I didn't shoot good or bad just about where I should be in that house.

The lanes again this year transitioned really fast and went from slick to great to bone dry in a matter of a game and a half. I think they could use a little more volume with the oil so the lanes hold a shot a little longer. All and all I had a good time, and enjoyed my new ball while it was working.

That's exactly how the lanes were when I went two years ago. I had had four or five great weeks in league before we left, but when we got there, the first game was awesome (251 on a 170ish avg.) but I failed to shoot another average set the rest of my 8 games that weekend. I was hooking a Columbia Scout urethane 40 boards and still going high. That's why I said I'd never go back until they changed something.

Yeah it was beyond dry after the first set. I haven't seen lanes go that fast before. Happens there every year though.
