All balls have a CG - it's the point on the coverstock that is closest to center of gravity of the ball. The mass in a ball is never evenly distributed around the exact center of the ball - manufacturing tolerances allow for it to be up to 3/64" from the center. Closer to 3/64" has more top weight, closer to 0 has less.

Smooth, I imagine that the natural would start earlier and be more continuous. Sanding the MOjave would probably bring them closer, but that would be a silly thing to do with this ball, IMO. Buy a stronger one if you want that look.

As far as overall hook, I imagine that with a straighter release, up to about 30, they would probably be comparable as far as total hook, as long as there was enough friction for the MOjave to read. After that, I think the MOjave would start to outhook the Natural, as it would be able to use up all of its axis rotation (given enough dry), and the natural wouldn't.

On a house shot, the MOjave seems to be about 1 and 1 weaker than the Avalanche (Rough Buff), 2 and 1 weaker than the VP2 (1000), and 4 or 5 weaker than the TRoad and Big One. The difference would probably be magnified on a sport shot.
