how do you find out your rev rate ? some one said that the speed is about 3 mph faster than what the screen shows coming off your hand. if that is the case then I am 16-17 mph.

For rev rate, you find a facility with CATS, or use a video camera to see how many revolutions you get in a second, and multiply by 60.

Counting rotations between the foul line and pins doesn't yield valid RPMs, as the ball will gain revolutions as it sees friction, which will inflate the number.
