So after thinking we were going to skip the Valentines day tournament we woke up today and my girlfriend, who just started bowling in the last year and usually only has casual interest in the sport, wanted to go enter. She has a 131 average and gets plenty of pins so I figured it would be fun. There were two squads left today 1 and 3. We hit the 3pm. Practice starts and it is obvious it was FRIED from first squad. The least aggressive ball I have is a Hy-road as my LM Hornet hasn't come in yet(thanks snow) so it was a battle getting in the pocket and staying there. I bowled terrible lol. I started and she had to pick up garbage and splits the first game and didn't even get to throw the first ball until I struck in the 6th. I was terrible, we went 117 first game, all on me. Second game much better we end up high 100's same third and end up cashing in 5th place out of 50 teams. lol. She struck three times at the end of the second game and carried me as I didn't get much better as the set went on striking maybe half when I got to throw first. No excuses I was terrible. Haha I thought I would have to carry her....whoops other way around. If I would have bowled even decent we would have won, no problem. She bowled great, and now is considering bowling high handicap division at an ABT event next weekend, she is excited. Sorry for the long post thought everyone would find that amusing. I sure did, never thought I would be so happy after bowling so bad in a tournament.
