Last night,.. a pretty much average night.
The same issues with the early hand rotation remain. The results...180,200,202. At least I went up every game. Its a hard fix once it settles in, I'll keep trying.
As a team we got our a$$es handed to us by a team we should have beaten. They bowled real well and took all points. We are dropping like a stone this second half of the season after doing great the first half. We just can't get hot as team, two guys bowl well, the rest struggle. Seems like a weekly event lately.

Last night I bowled with the wife in our bi-weekly mixer, and had a decent night. Had a 250,246, and a 185 for a 681. I would love to carry theses scores into next weeks leagues. Sure is fun when you string em. Won a couple pots too! Why can't I do this on a more consistent pace???

Sunday leagues were moved up for the Super Bowl "Afternoon" league went well. 723 series, felt in rhythm, decent swing, and kept in clean for all frames.
"Evening" league was choppy. Bowled unopposed as other team is post-bowling. Less rhythm, slightly off... 625 series.
Time for Da Super Bowl. Cheers to all for a pleasant and safe evening.
Vic.

My Sunday league was moved up for the Super Bowl, too. Didn't like it and was one of the few people in the league that didn't want it moved.
Team blew our opponents tonight away, beating them by more than 100 pins all 3 games. Unfortunately, I wasn't much of a part of it, as I had a very subpar night after 2 very good practice sessions Friday night and this morning.
157-143-133 = 433
I was fighting my ball speed all night -- couldn't keep the strike ball under 20. It was 21-21.5 most of the time. The 133 included a 0 box in the 8th frame from fouling twice. First ball, first 2 steps of my approach were way too long and I slid over by 6 inches. Then I overcompensated and shortened the steps so much that my center of gravity was too far forward of my feet and I had to step over the line to keep from falling on my face (and I would have fouled anyway even if I'd let myself fall).
Big problem was chopping multi-pin spares. I had the double-foul, a missed 5-pin and a 6-7-10. The other 9 opens I had tonight were all chops... a pair of 6-10s where I chopped off the 6, a pair of 1-2s where I chopped the head pin off the 2, a pair of 1-2-8s where I chopped the 1-2 and left the 8, a 4-7 where I chopped off the 4, etc., etc. Made both washouts that I left tonight as well as the baby split. I actually chopped the 3 off the 10, turned around and walked back...which meant I didn't get to see the 3-pin bounce out of the pit and trip the 10. Made the 6-10 that way once before, but not the baby.
Maybe I'm just trying too hard. I dunno.
