well i went ahead and bought a used storm hy-road off ebay. i think i got a pretty good deal and plus is came plugged so its ready to take to my drilling guy. my question is how i should get this drilled? i have a virtual gravity and storm reign. i want it to be my #3 ball for when the gravity and reign are just too much. for now i bowl on THS but plan on moving to pbax in the future. should i just go with my fav layout which is on my reign with the pin above the ring finger or is that too aggressive? i know i should ask my Pro Shop about this but want some info be4 i go there prob tomorrow afternoon. also for those of u with hy roads how are ur's drilled and do u like ur layout?
thanks

I have seen the hy-road thrown and all I can tell you is it looks like it is a good ball.

I love my Hyroad, I am a lefty so even if I knew the lay out it might not help. I trust my driller and never ask, but he has seen me throw and checked my track and made adjusments accordingly. So if you trust your driller and take one of the old balls with you. It appears to me the Reign is a little more aggresive than the Hyroad so you may want an aggressive drill. I find when my Attitude Shift starts to die The Hyroad fills in nicely, any drier and the Fast is a monster. So bowl up a Storm!

I would redrill in a similar spot to where the plugs are now. If not, you are going to be changing the way the ball would roll. Post a pic on here so we can see. Also, how are your others laid out?

I have mine drilled a little like that. My finger and thumbholes are drilled pretty close to the way it's previous owner had it setup. I have it 4 1/2 x 60 degrees. When you look at it, the pin is about an inch or so above my ring finger and a little off to the right. The cg is on a slight angle from the pin to the right. I have a weight hole close to the mass bias. It travels pretty straight hits the backend and moves like beast. My other equipment are more arching earlier rolling balls so this one gives me a different and great look.

I hope that helps.

My Hy-road is setup similar to your Reign. The cg's out a little more to the right though.

heres what i ended up with.. overall pretty happy with the results. saved about 65-70 bucks if i would've bought brand new. i would probably buy another used ball again if the price is right and if the ball is close to how i want to lay it out.

man this ball hooks so i ended up puttin some polish on it. we'll see how it does on saturday in league action. glad to add another ball to my arsenal. BOWL UP A STORM!
