Hello, I'm Derek Phillips and i attend Dobyns-Bennett High School in Kingsport, TN. I have been bowling since age 3, but last summer i switched to a two handed approach and dramatically improved. Last week i bowled in the TSSAA high school championships and finished 7th. Of course i am pleased with this, but i could have done much better considering i was 1st after quarterfinals. I had a 224, 267, 245, 247 for a 983 on the house pattern. But in semifinals, i struggled tremendously on the sport shot. I shot 158, 113 (yikes!!!!), 184, 174 which put my grand total at 1612 and 7th just 11 pins out of making finals. I have to give props to my boy Justinmill14, who placed 2nd after showing his mad skills on the sport shot. Well just introducing myself to everyone, and i hope to issue many more posts later on down the road
