Thursday night, turned out to be "fun night", 3 games of no tap. Obviously I can't turn that in for the virtual league. Got off to a slow start, shot 176, 227, 207. Found a nice line on the inside and my ball was turning back nicely to the pocket. Didn't bother tracking for bowlsk.

Regarding the virtual league, I assume it's ok to post last night's scores, it's the same center, same ball, same pattern.

Thursday night league was pretty much a repeat of my Wed. night.
203,193,203 for a 599. We took two of three games and totals. At least I am getting more consistant, not the roller coaster up and down scores I had been bowling.

well, my back is almost back to normal, and had an ok night thursday. was the first week back after the 6 week hiatus in that league.

shot a 160, 155 and a 170 [avg 164 in that leauge]

could have been better, but left alot of 10 pins, and baby splits [3/10], converted 1/2 the 10 pins and 1/2 the splits. and yet again, left a 4/7/10 and missed it by an inch or so! clubbed the 7, threw the 4 across the lane and missed it by ----- that much!!

my back feels much better, and it seems like bowling is helping it get back to normal [along with stretching and stuff].

get to bowl in a firemens 9 pin no-tap tourney sunday, should be fun.

Tim and Tbill, you guys were both pretty consistent. I've had back issues in the past, sciatic nerve problems too. The stretching is definitely a must. I'm now doing pilates, getting massages and visiting the chiropractor. Definitely feeling stronger in the middle and haven't had a back twinge in quite some time. Sure hope I didn't just jinx it.

As far as that 10 pin goes, well, it's a pain for all of us righties. Over the past 144 games, I've left 101 10 pins, made only 63. That's one reason why I've recently switched to throwing a straight ball at most of my spares. The next most frequent leave? The 6-10. 37 of those and I only made 19. Yep, I think I see where I can get my average up.

Back when I used to hook at the 10-pin (left-handed) a few times I've hit it so lightly that it wobbled. The pindecks at my center are really slippery so sometimes it even slides a board or so to the right without falling.

Then there're cases of 2- and 5-pins sliding all the way across to the 6- or 10-pin spot without falling.

reminds me of a few potential strikes i couldve had. pins sliding is kind of a heart breaker.

Well I had a long day at the center today, literally. Minus about 30-40 minutes to run to get something to eat and go withdraw some money from an ATM, I was there for about 7 hours. I went in around 2 to pace a teammate that was pre-bowling for the night. I turned it into a practice session as well as a chance to try to coach her some.

My league went well, with a 645 series, well over average. I rolled games of 208 with 3 opens, a 9 pin the first frame, 7-10 split the third frame and the Big 4 in the eleventh. Second game was a 192 with 8 strikes, two opens, a 3-6-10 which I chopped the 3 and 6-7 split in back to back frames on the right lane. I just couldn't get anything going on that lane until the tenth frame when I struck out. Third game was a 2 non-strike and one open 245. The first non-strike was a 4-7 when the ball hung on my thumb and ended up not going out to the right enough. The other one which was my only open of the game was the only 10 pin I left all night in the eighth frame. We swept all 4 points on the night which was the half ending position round.

The play by play is at My Bowlsk.
