Thanks, Mike. Dennis My mutant got damaged last night as well, I didnt see it until I was cleaning my equipment when I got home. Where I bowl it is not unusual for a chip or 2 to get taken out but this looks like a saw went into my ball, what concerns me is its kind of deep. I am going to take it to my pro to see if it needs fixed not sure how they would, to deep to polish out.

Rocket, glad to see it's coming around for you.

no bowling for me last night, i somehow tweaked my back, and it got progressively worse as monday wore on, no way i was gonna throw a 15lb ball.

hopefully i will be back in shape by next week, as thursday nights start up again as well.

If it's not in the track or not a huge chunk you really won't need to get that fixed. If you do need to get it fixed, or even if you don't need to but want to get it fixed, they will fill it in and then sand it to make sure it's smooth and rounded right. I've seen this done a couple different ways. Sometimes just super glue and an accelerator, other times actually drill into the ball some and plugged like they would a finger or thumbhole. When they drill into the damaged area it is to help with adhesion of the plug material. Also depending on how deep it is and if they have a Haus Resurfacing machine they will put it on that and sand it out but that will make the ball smaller in the process.

Sorry to hear that Tbill hope it gets better. Yeah for once in a long time it felt as good as my scores were, the tip someone mentioned about not leaning out so much at release finally clicked.

I am sure my coach and coach Jim both mentioned as well but somehow it didnt sink into my thick skull. I read it right before league last night and decided to focus on that and that only and it paid off. Other then stubbornness in the first game 2 splits in the second game one in the third and miscue on the 7 pin (My favorite spare) It was the best night of bowling other then score wise I have had since I have been back it just felt good. Like when you hit your driver flush and you know you just sailed past the 300 yard marker!

Cal, we must have posted at the same time thanks for the info guess I will let it go. Thats the only problem with where I bowl old Brunswick house your equipment is always in danger but I dont get home until 6pm so to late to bowl league in another house.

Well it's usually good practice to let the center know your ball was damaged and what lane(s) you were on. I know it was a little late since you were at home when you found the scratch. But letting them know allows them to check that pair out for something that needs taken care of. That is of course if they care about proper maintenance of their equipment. Sometimes it's something as small as a screw that came loose or some padding in the pit came loose and exposed something.

Thanks again Cal, I'm on pretty good terms with the owner so gave him a call and let him know he thanked me and offered to pay for the repair. I told him I was going to let my pro look at it and as long as there is no danger of more of the cover coming off I would probably let it go.

My night went South with the oil. Started 226, then 200, then 160. My ball I would usually use on this condition was in the shop being fixed from lane damage on Monday night league. Everything else I brought was just too strong, and didn't get the length I needed.

We still won all 7 points for the first night of the second half.

Sub'd for a friend last night. I had my best outing in over 2 years..

1) 280 (solid 9 pin 2nd frame)
2) 259
3) 233
S) 772

There was a time where I would be [censored] do to my collapse in game three. Not that 233 is a bad game, but if you were watching me bowl you would of thought I shot 180 at best. Now all I need to do is duplicate this performance on Monday night, if so I'll have the 5 spot for high series!

The choking continues. First game 251 (first 8) I can't get passed that 9th frame. I missed my mark to the right and never recovered to leave the 1,2 (spared)- Get up in the tenth and I guess slowed down too much and left a beautiful 3,6,9,10,4,7 (yes that is correct) which I almost picked up leaving the 9.
Second game shot 221 and third game 208(5 ten pins-picked them all up) for a good 680 series and 7 pts for the team.
Team shot 1076 first game to get 3rd spot for team handicap game(missing top spot by 20 pins-my open in the tenth).
On a very good note, haven't missed a 10 pin in 3 weeks now.

Very nice series wt. That would've entitled you to the first time only 750+ series house jacket where I bowl. I missed it by one pin last year.

I bet you thinking 800 in the third game which is why you were a little [censored] with yourself? I'll take a 772 any day which would be my high series. I hear a 300 knocking at your door real soon.
