First tenpin league night ever, and first league night of any kind after 10 years away. (15 years of candlepins.) 150-178-187 = 515. Only open frame after game 1 was a 5-10 in the 10th frame of game 2 that I missed left by an inch. Team swept our opposition, though. smile

My Week 11 bowling, frame-by-frame (Link to BowlSK)

This was not really the night I was hoping to use to follow up on my 28/30 clean 640 set of last week, but any night I can strike better than half of the time, I'll take it at this point. After the first game, I was thinking, "Holiday bonus week (most pins over average in each division gets $25) is in my head again," but, turning my attention to helping the team win, I had better games and actually ended up better than 50 pins over my average on the night. It still wasn't enough to get the holiday bonus, but at least I know I can have a good night on an important night on the league schedule. I'm also feeling much better about my recent bowling with the back-to-back 600+ nights.

The bowler on my team who may be best in line for one of the holiday bonuses is Eileen, who had both a personal best game (171) and personal best series (405) tonight. The team ended up taking 3 of 4 (losing only second game thanks to my 10 pin whiff in the last frame), so that made me happy, as well. I know I'm out of the running because one of my buddies in my division had a 277 game en route to a personal best 753.

This past Sunday league = 182, 233, 213 = 628, The 1st & 2nd games used a 5-step approach, which i've been working on in practice, to help improve my timing and rhythm. After struggling through the 2nd game, i went back to a 4-step approach, settling in for a decent 3rd game.

Tonight substitute = 279, 192, 237 = 708, I went with a 4-step and everything went smooth the 1st game. I struggled through the 2nd game, with weak pocket hits and a few 7-pin misses from my timing being off. The cause? I unknowingly shortened my push away just enough to throw my timing off. I recovered the last game and finished strong.

Wednesday night league, 188,231,205 for a 624 series. We took 5 of the 7 pts., losing the 1st game.
Personally I am seeing improvment since seeing my coach, but I am still missing some spares I should make, two in game one or my scores would have been better. Used my LM Sting the entire night and it responded well. That ball really hits hard when its thrown correctly.
Oh, and I also won a turkey wink

Flip flop the middle games and I shoot sets of 504 and 768. Weird.
