I have been bowling for many years and consider myself to be pretty good. I typically average between 215-220. But I have one problem with my bowling. I have an unusually low Track on my balls. I have tried and tried again to figure a way to raise the Track, but with no success. Any suggestions? Should alter something when I have my balls drilled? Would a wrist support help? I have also thought about maybe getting a thumbhole that is drilled off center from the fingers? Anything that might work would be helpful. I would like to take my game to the next level, but I feel like this problem is holding me back.

It's all in the release.

Are you going around the side of the ball? Perhaps you could describe your release.

Axis tilt and lower Track vary together, for the most part - the more tilt, the lower your Track.

To reduce axis tilt, get your middle and ring fingers to be parallel to the ground when the ball comes off your fingers.

Photo F would be a low Track. Photo G would be a high Track. If you manage to raise your Track, prepare for more and earlier hook.

I agree with the Track discussions, but was wondering. What makes the difference in where the bow tie is, next to your fingers or next to your thumb? Seems that it relates to the type of drilling. Drill for length it is next to my thumb, while pin under drill results in bow tie next to my fingers.

Bow tie position is affected by release, core shape and pin-VAL distance. AFAIK it should never be next to your thumb...
